Haha I think we're all trying to win but thanks for the kind words. I know my strain a little since I created these seeds. The buds were nice and dense I hope to get something close using cfls but I know it's not gonna be as good as the original.
Here's a better pic. So far just a sweet weedy smell not the eye water sour yet.

My first official update

I decided to adapt Soma's soil bed method to the party cups

The cups have drainage holes though. I added a layer perlite to the bottom of the cup instead of hydroton..I didn't want to buy a big bag of hydroton.

Then added a weed mat to separate soil and perlite and straws to bring in air to the lower area to create a bed of air for bottom roots

then a layer of worm castings then soil mix

The mulanjie gold x jilly bean. I shall call her The Mohican Gold Bean

Unfortunately while I was gone for 2 days. The soil dried out too much and 2 sprouts died so germinating a few more right now.. But here are the strong ones

I didn't want to do that.. I wanted enough peat in there for microbial action and punching holes to make air-cups wouldn't do to well since the body of soil is too small for air pruning imo.. it would dry out to quick..

I have a mix of worm castings, pureed oatmeal, and gro kashi in a tupperware creating fungi / mycelium and it smells like moon shine

It does dry daily. I just use my secret organic wick. I transplanted some seedlings today that were air pruned on the side. Been in three weeks under my 51s, and look five weeks compared to my one bad bean

same shit happened in the veg room too.. 1 quantum kush and 1 plushberry seed didn't make it. dried out. One quantum kush keeps stretching away but won't drop the seed helmet. its too tight to pull off without damaging the sprout. everything else is doing awesome..

Oh I gets Operation on the hulls. You can wet em to help. I must say the 51 veg spectrum makes em look even greener. Started 24" away, and all nodes are almost too tight?! You'll always have a runt or two. I don't waste time on the gingers.

Alright...I want some clarification.I thought we choose 5 regular seeds or 3 fem seeds and pick the best of the bunch.I see some of you others are germing more seeds.What gives?

I would have germed 5 more a long time ago!

the ig makes them grow fast. they use up the water and nutes quickly too . very green. In flower everything lush and getting huge (reg plants not cups) and only 6 days into flower.

2 of mine that died never popped out of the soil so technically they never sprouted. If its an issue I will stick with the 3 and still win.

okay first 24 hrs in water/ h2o2 water mix. then paper towels 1-3 days damp in dark area also. then tap roots are hanging plant them 1/2 inch down. 100% every time. period. no tap roots when going into soil no grow is my look on it. so leave in paper towel till tap root shows.
