thats good to get one that ya can get some clones from to make beans of something ya know .Getaway,
I'm delighted this morning, my little seed finally became a seedling! When the shell finally fell off it had some sticky membrane from the shell holding the lip like leaves together strangling it. It was just about out of energy so I had to use a high powered magnifiying glass and tweezers and scrap it off last night. I went to sleep wondering if I'd made a mistake and killed it but this morning its alive! The lips have opened up and its going to make it.
The return of Crazyhorse! I've got a couple other strains, The Purps, but no luck with those but I'd just about gave up hope on all my old seeds but there was still live in at least one, Crazyhorse!
Have you ever lost a strain you created and back-crossed, it sucks to lose genetics, but its awesome to get them back!View attachment 2992254
the seawarp is from reeferman and was real stable to start with just had a real special pheno that only showed one in a hundred or so lol.. been a real headache trying to catch that one for beans but we got it now.so is it safe to say that the Seawarp is now (or has always been) a stable breed when it comes to pheno type when growing out that strain?
Excellent I imagine Pheno hunting isn't exactly as much fun as it sounds. What made that 1/100 special? Just curiousthe seawarp is from reeferman and was real stable to start with just had a real special pheno that only showed one in a hundred or so lol.. been a real headache trying to catch that one for beans but we got it now.
it was just the shape, yield, dense buds with no trimming and lemon taste . also it was very potent just different in all the good ways had to come from way back in the gene pool to show as little as it does and to get the matching male is a task in itself . we either got one or the other most of the time not the pair to make beans but finally with enough of us looking for the phenos we got itExcellent I imagine Pheno hunting isn't exactly as much fun as it sounds. What made that 1/100 special? Just curious
If you find a male (but are still searching for a top female)it was just the shape, yield, dense buds with no trimming and lemon taste . also it was very potent just different in all the good ways had to come from way back in the gene pool to show as little as it does and to get the matching male is a task in itself . we either got one or the other most of the time not the pair to make beans but finally with enough of us looking for the phenos we got it
yes it is and we do that sometimes when we do it except when we get a male back from other growers i need to see the plant to be sure it is what i want i hate surprises when breeding lol..If you find a male (but are still searching for a top female)
isn't it possible to just collect pollen from it?
And fertilise the female, once she's found?
everything - shape ,smell ,growth pattern , whether it is an early pheno male or a later one, unique pheno if ya look at enough plants for years and years ya will know when you see it lol..I'm curious about how you selected the male? Strictly shape? I'm super curious about male selection.
