I cannot think of another President that has fought Israels and Saudi Arabias wars for them more than George Bush

Dont see anyone on their that actually tried whole heartadly to end israeli/palestinian conflicts or settlement building

I think in 100 years, w. Bush will be remembered as a pretty good president.

We had a pretty serious recession that he steered us through very well, had a very good recovery.

He was great post/911, he had like 90% approval.

Then he goes to Iraq. It ended up being a lot worse than anyone thought. And because we had like 9 months of saying "were going to invade Iraq because of their WMDs," they were all gone when we got there.

The Afghanistan campaign went well under his watch.

So, in all, he gave us safety, a good economy, and he had his share of challenges. Compared to mr. Clintons presidency before his, who never had much of anything in the way of problems to deal with.

The collapse of 08 will eventually be seen for what it was, no one particulars fault. Bush just happened to be in the chair when the shoe fell.

There were never any WMDs BnB, the reason we went into Iraq was because Saddam decided to stop selling oil in US dollars and only accepted Euros. 'Tis the truth. WMD sounds like a way better reason than "we need to maintain our hedgemony at all costs!"

it amazes me how the right will scream and bitch and moan for months about 4 dead in benghazi, yet never make a peep about and completely overlook 4,000+ dead americans in iraq, plus tens of thousands disfigured, and countless more suffering quietly from PTSD.

i know, booo00o0oo0oo0oosh. let's forget history so we can be doomed to repeat it.

shrub deserves props for his work with AIDS in africa, not much else. he inherited a nothing recession and a surplus, and left us with a massive recession/depression along with the all time highest deficit ever, of all time.

history will not be too kind to the guy.

Maybe if half-black would have kept a small force in Iraq maybe, just maybe a no fly zone would exist preventing Iran from flying over Iraq to supply Syria. Think stratigic, not tactical in what goes on.

The economy fell because a bubble popped. The federal government had a policy of promoting home ownership. To do this, they gave loans to people who they knew couldn't afford them. My mom was a real estate agent in the 90's and she was baffled at some of the loans that were getting approved. People with income of 30/40k buying 300k houses. Bush did nothing to cause this bubble. The banks ate a lot of bad paper by command from the government.

Bush contributed to it, as did Reagan, bush 1, and Clinton. to blame one person for this is insane. A lot of hands were at work there.

Right now the issue is too political to get a clear answer. That is why I said wait a few decades and we will have a much more clear look at it as politics change.
