Conservation is WAAAAAY! too effective in the U.S. Lahada. There is a great overpopulation.
More people are killed by deer in the highway in U.S. than all other deaths by animals in U.S. combined. Making the white tail deer the most dangerous animal in America.
No way! And I always thought Bambi looked so cute! I grew up next to Richmond Park in London which is a deer park. It's a closed off park yet they roam free with the cars driving through slowly. Saw a birth from a distance once which was great.

I am dead certain it is only a few areas where this is a problem. Never heard of deer in Nevada myself. The most impractical solution is doing nothing I say. In most of Southern Africa conservation is privatised, so each animal counts as an investment to somebody, so fences are a rule of thumb unless you go to really wild places, and even there are fences they're just REALLY wide apart. You don't really ever see wildlife on the highway out here ever.
Maybe not Nevada but:
Georgia, alabama, virginia, west virginia, kentucky, tennessee, ohio, pennsylvania, illinois, indiana, iowa, minnesota, Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska, south dakota, wisconsin, Michigan........
Care to donate to the fence fund?

Yeah, white tail a big problem here. I've never hit one but they're always on the side of the road.

Big confession of the day... I'm the husband now, but in the beginning I was the other man.

Generally the deer hit me. No shit, I have had buck leap into the side of my car while driving at 55mph on more than one occasion.

We really do! I used to go horse riding in Hyde Park. Regents Park is nice too but I love the woods like Hampstead Heath where I attended school and also Wimbledon Common (remember 'The Wombles'?) Lol

and California....I see, literally 3-5 deer road kill/week just on the road I drive to town. There was a proposal to intro birth control hormones into the deer population, but it seems to have lost wind

When my grandmother died. I took my once and only liberties with her medicine cabinet. Prescription for 300 T3s! About two-thirds left. I pocketed it before somebody else could. Oh boy were they pissed.

Not like it was gonna go into the estate.

I have a "stitch" under my left shoulder blade for a month now, deep breathes, rolling over during sleep and coughs are followed by a intense sudden sharp pain. Another ache among the many that wreaks havoc on my body daily. Stretches with cold/heat therapy have failed to relieve the tension, my body has now begun reacting to the OTC meds I've been forced to take and my tolerance for pain has yet again been under siege.
At times I wonder...

The above post brings me to a confession and question. I don't know whether giving a Like out of sympathy sends the right message. I've held back from that and don't know if it's right.
