If anyone knows the Tora Bora strain, can you advise if it is normal to get the extreme purple on the upper colas? The lower ones are nowhere near as purple.... I guess it could be a deficiency, but I don't think so. It's still putting on new growth.

From my rookie grow, I learned that with high CBD plants.

The purple hues are have a correlation to the high CBD content

Maybe that was just 303 genetics, but I would think it just depends on the strain itself??
Anyway, nice work!

Real quick..are you flattening out the” muffin” each time?

Meaning; once the oil muffins do you break pressure, then folks over the parchment, folding the oil itself?

It seems as though, you are forgetting a huge necessity.
” Thin Film”

Flatten the muffin, by folding over parchment, and flatten again with a rolling pin or similar.

If the oil Is too thick (viscous), butane, can NOT escape a thick resin, it remains trapped.
 
SDA yeah this was started as a heat purge for a day until the chamber arrived so I really just heated to about 120 and pulled while watching the micro bubbles it's was purging for a good 6 hours before the micro bubbles stopped. I released pressure several times and folded the wax like you explained and then put it back in for more vac. I can see what ur saying about the cool purge to start and that's going to be my approach moving forward. I also must say the material I used for this run was cured for a month and a half thus I believe the darker color.

So I used a mini extractor 10 grams of random shake from SN2 and Neville.
1.8 return.
Solvent free after an hour!!

I fucking love it.. The fruits of my labor

A lil less brittle than I like, but makes the oil much easier to handle/dab.

Harvested material late October..

So, don't know what the hell happened on that last post but back to the Ice Water Extraction...

I have been forum jumping as of late, because I got the new pump and, well...

I am a straight up research whore, each forum, while there are similarities, I've found that visiting multiple forums is a great means of keeping up with trending canna-kulture news, the latest methods, etc.

This guys Ice water tech is blowing my mind..he uses no bags.

A bucket, ice, water, agitator of some sort, a fine mesh colander a big funnel and one 31µ screen.

Check this ole boy out, some amazing water hash.

Is an 18% return normal? The best I've done with bubble bags is 10% and sometimes less. I'm thinking of ice water hashing my entire Tora Bora plant, but if your method yields 2x..... I'm thinkin you might want to give yourself some more practice with that gadget with the Tora Bora buds? That is if you're interested in some of that TB oil for yourself? ;-)
 
So I did go and check that out Dabs and it was definetly some good looking stuff, the only issue was how long it seemed to have stayed wet and damp. Also I think I may like to have you come by soon or vise versus and maybe run a batch or two wether its water and ice or some butane. I have been getting into refining my bubble into a oil that doesn't melt as good as some of my other.
