i base my feeding on ppm levels of my nutrient mix. i actually did an experiment with another grower on here using dyna and sensi. dyna is cheaper by the bottle but not by much. when we did the experiment the advance nutrients was about 50% more potent. basically we added the same amount of both nutes to a liter of water and the ppm of advanced was a lot stronger. when we did the math it actually worked out cheaper to use sensi.

i'll try and find the thread later.
I found the better yield from the Sensi put an end to my self-argument. Higher cost or not. It more then paid for itself!! Another thing: Those EYE Hortlux lamps are the shit. This is from experience too! That's all I need. I get them for 60$ a pop, average cost. click here for store.

Bullshit. Nothing more than conjecture and anecdotal evidence. As Roach pointed out, you have no scientific evidence to back up any of your chest beating bullshit. Now who looks ASSinine and desperate to win an argument?

Back to the spectral graphs posted. Since reading comprehension is not your strongest suit, I'll reiterate my point - both MH and HPS are full spectrum lamps. Also, if you think I'm going to believe any one of the sales pitches from folks like Hortilux, you're crazy. Mama didn't raise no fool.

Years ago when I was researching and sharing my stuff in some of the old forums like OG, I kind of pioneered the incorporation of 600W HPS...nobody was using them but me, and then it caught on. I asked the techs at Osram Sylvania who were the FIRST developer and marketer of the 600W HPS to share their spectral graphs for their regular HPS and their so called "enhanced" HPS, the one with the "added blues". Guess what? Both graphs are the same. I've posted talking points on this stuff over 15 years ago, probably while you was still messin' in your drawers. Their enhanced lamp was called "PlantA-T". Here's the graph:

Now, being that this has taken the path of another RIU pissing contest headed up by some know-it-all kid, I'm not gonna hash it out for the hundredth time, which happens over the years with every new crop of newbies. YOU do the research. Start with photomorphogenesis and check out the blue side reflecting panels in some of my garden photos. You don't own the rights to "experiments". I've done more experiments on cannabis than Heinz has got pickles.

i really like hortilux bulbs too. i used to use sun master for the longest time then i switched. a buddy of mine had a fancy light meter and we did some tests. they last longer and stay brighter. plus the spectrum on them is better than most. especially the new daylight blue MH bulbs. they also have some pretty honest tech support guys. i was doing research on dual arc bulbs and even they said don't invest in them yet...the technology wasn't there.

are you still talking? wow. i guess a captain goes down with his ship. you can pick what you choose to believe. i could care less. i did the experiment and it's the truth. i'll do it again if you want.

damn, just read that all again. So you invented dynagro and 600w bulbs. Lmao. Maybe you can tell me why you are comparing spectral charts from 15 year old bulbs to those of today. You do realize that there have been some technological changes in the last 15 years?

that's why i grow more than just mj.
Well golly gee. You really don't know who I am nor my gardening experience. I have acreage and on that acreage I have a commercial niche market, a wine grape vineyard using some of the best clones from France and the mediteranean, peaches, apples, olive, pomegranates, Owari satsuma, blackberries, pecan trees and shade trees. I just put in a lobolly pine and 2 apple trees, which brings the trees planted around my house to about 60. In my greenhouse which has 10' columns and an 18' ridge, all computer controlled vents using German made Lock motors and propane heating..... I am growing and producing avocados, citrus, and recently planted dwarf mangos which should produce this year. Usual stuff like herbs and maters are in there too plus I'm baby sitting plants for my neighbors until spring.

What are you growing on your condo patio?

Bullshit, you mean the demand and profit margin wasn't there making the release worth their while. Dual arc (tubes) hoods have been around for 15 years, or at least they used to be available.

Again, you guys will fall for anything. The sales men pick up on your dreams and run with it.

Dyna-Gro rocks! How's that. Having said that, that is another company I introduced cannabis growers to, got flamed for it too because folks that were suck ups for the 11 basic and supplement chart drill couldn't admit to being a sucker. Then there was canna, then Advanced Shysters came along. I knew it was another Al Gore scam from day one. Fox Farms, Humboldt....dime a dozen now. And like the pollen chuckers, these profiteers knew there was money to be made from their uneducated, un-sophisticated, super easy target.....all it takes is a cute name that appeals to wanna-be believers, lots of colors on your labels, and a glowing ad that can not be confirmed due to lack of regulations backed by tests from non-partisan, non profit labs or consumer watch dogs.

i've heard good things about ushio. THinking about giving a few a try soon.
Glad to see this thread is succinct and right on track...nutes? :P
I was thinking the same.

Still experimenting with different ratios of fol. pro and gro in hydro veg. I am around 60/40 gro/fol thus far. Also 1ml protekt.

Seems to be doing pretty good thus far.

I also backed off a bit on my well water and am running a bit more ro. Something like 80/20 ro/ww for veg. and around 70/30 for flower.

Now that IS nice! I love tropical fruits, but I also love stuff you can't grow because you don't have the chill hours. We average 700-800 chill hours in the winter and can grow about anything. I do those and decided to bring the tropics indoors, reason for the greenhouse. I'm out of greenhouse real estate. Forgot, have pitaya too (dragon fruit). Are you growing durian and mango? They seem to be the queen and king of tropical fruits. I wouldn't know a durian if it hit me in the head.

I assume your cados are strictly W. Indies? My fave of that race is Catalina and Monroe.

No you weren't. Nobody had heard of Dyna-Gro until I started pushing it. They were stuck on GH and the Lucas formula.

What was the first cannabis forum genre you were posting too?

we get all our genetics locally. i live in costa rica most of the time so finding good stock is not a problem. everything in my pictures was either transplanted from a local property or grown from local seed. the only plants that were on the property when i bought it were 2 mango trees and the juplone. the other property had the rose apple and some banana trees.
