So far in my perpetual grow the strains that have grown out the best blend of yield and quality are:

Indica / Indica dominant:
Barneys Farm Violator Kush- Great knockout high and pretty easy grower, very dense buds I need to stake the tops
DNA Genetics Sharksbreath: Above average yield, grows fast and likes nutes, A+ quality smoke, some of the best Ive ever had, super distinct smell and flavor, my favorite strain so far

Sativa / Sativa Dominant:
DNA Genetics Hashplant Haze: The easiest grower/cloner Ive run, great high and nice Melon flavor

Barney's farm acapulco gold is showing off in my room at the moment. Having great clone success and the mothers are so resilient I can chop em to a stump and ready for 8-10 clones in 3 weeks. The smell, density and buzz are definately one of a kind. I had an issue with AG the first go round, but since then Ive planted 3 beans and selectively gotten down to 1 perfect mom. I see it as a perpetual fav in my room.

Lemon skunk another fav, but stretchy and a tad more work. Cant beat that clean flavor tho.

Afghan Kush was like weed dusted with coccaine!! Not the easiest to grow, but damn trichs so thick you couldnt see the leaves. "Special Kush" was amazing!

Anyhow, I stick with the same breeders when I can. Mostly Barney's, Pyramid, and Greenhouse seeds. Royal Queens arent bad either.:leaf:

I must agree, Acapulco is WAY underated. Im about to the conclusion that all these new fancy cross breeds arent really all that snazzy. Ive had some serious stability issues among even the same mothered clones, in a few of these fancy strains. I think maybe that introducing all these and giving them special names, has a lot to do with plain and simple marketing. I mean hell, Im loving my Acapulco Gold, but still, that doesnt make me have to buy more beans. Now, if I want the new "strawberry kush afghan diesel berry ryder", I'll have to BUY more beans because its new.

You're going to LOVE the Acapulco. It has such a wild fruity smell and flavor. Almost to the point of perfum, but NOT! The nugs stay so dense, and the trichs look like powdered sugar. Everyone KNOWS this is a very special kind, when I open the bag to pack a bowl. So freaking distinctly unique, noone argues that it's a winner, just by smell alone. The buzz is really good too! Cant underestimate the power of recognition either. Hasnt everyone heard of Acapulco Gold by now?

Anyhow, Youre going to quite simply love AG, if you can get her dialed in just right. Once you get a rockin mom, you'll grow them forever with ease. Yup, Ive just about quite bothering with the fancy strains altogether. Sure, I'll grow a random set on occassion, but unless youve got time to kill, and plenty of backstock to smoke.... stick with the solid, non-fancy, old school varieties. Theres a good damn reason the old school is STILL around. Reliability and quality perhaps? Happy growing to ya!!

thanks for the ag report. be on the fence about about a couple of strains for the next order, 1 being ag. i was blessed to try ag (and many other south american and asain strains) back in the early 90's afew times and it was some of the first real headie weed we ever smoked. ag, punta roja, oxacana gold, along with bright green thia stick and vietnam "jungle grass" were what my buddies vetran uncle was growing back in the 80's and early 90's. he unfortunately passed away when we where still in our teens and had just started growing so we never got a chance to work with the genetics. i have worked with a few thia's, and punta roja crosses, but i've been looking for the ag.

as far as mt personal favorite in my box, would have to be the east coast sour diesel (direct from clone mother) followed by tga's jack the ripper, seedsmans skunk1 and then g13 labs white widow. although the ww surprises me everyday. she may be moving up a notch if this run produces like it looks!

Until something knocks my socks off I like the Blueberry from BCBUD they finish extremely fast, normally at 6 weeks they can be taken down and the buds start from a dense ball and build tight the entire way, I have grown a lot of purple strains but the blueberry is still the one that turns heads when the jar is openned. excellent hash maker as well as its sticky as hell, clones very easy and tops well. If you want a fast one try the blueberry
