mine needed more time but I was anxious and stated picking buds really too early.

My first grow went okay. I made many mistakes on my first try. Some of my problems were, too much nutrients, over watering, lighting issues, but even after all of my problems my plants still produced and the bud was good. I know I made a lot of mistakes the first time but now I have learned from them and have been getting better and better at growing.

My first grow went really smooth. And was actually started back in september. I grew 3 autos(2onyx&1EasyRyder) under LED. Was surprised at how well things went. I have it documented here on RIU with lots of pics. I ended up with 5.2oz. Dryed and cured. I was very happy with that yield from 3 autos. My second grow was 5 autos and was pretty smooth also yielding 5.9oz. Currently on my third grow. I switched to coco and using canna nutes. I'm growing an Barneys Farm LSD and a Nirvana seeds Blue Mystic. Regular strains this time and everything seems pretty good so far. Ya gotta have patience in growing and harvesting and curing. I have the patience to wait till all three of those are done! Just my opinion.

Our big fail was cost, we wasted so much shit on stuff that we didn't end up using or replaced shortly after.

My thoughts are, the lessons in life cost the most, if its a musical instrument, a sport, or even growing, the knowledge costs the most

I basically did the same thing, not to mention wanting to experiment and try different things out.
No, my first grow did not go smoothly, and I still have another 5+ weeks to go. I look at it as part of the learning experience. Some things I learn better by doing and no amount of reading or watching videos can take the place of hands on experience for me. I did learn so much from reading and watching, but actually doing and seeing it first hand helped to pull it all together. I expect to yield about 15 grams (quarter of an ounce) per plant dried (I have two plants in flowering), which is not a lot. I have made my mistakes along the way. I will be expecting 29-30 grams (half of an ounce) per plant with my next grow. I will still make mistakes, but hopefully I will get better with practice.

My first grow did not go well , under watered , spider mites , under fertilized and had a tall lanky plant that yielded very shitty . However it,s been 8 months now and things are different .

My first attempt went badly. There was a power failure while I was away for xmas and the only survivor after the cold went male (from fem seeds). Knock on wood, my current grow of 5 ice and 4 snow white just hit 4 weeks... Chest high and starting to whiten up. Only issue currently is some gnats after having the windows open earlier in the week.

One thing that I hate is second guessing myself all the time. I'm still a rookie with lots to learn about cultivating my own medicine. I topped for the first time ever on my current grow and I was agonizing over the whole process. Is this the right place to top? Is it gonna screw em up? You know all the BS. I am gaining confidence each grow though. That's why RIU IS so cool, always cool people helping a rookie out. Haven't really ran into any a holes on here. Everyone has been pretty helpful here! Trust me I need the help and lotsof times I just need the reassurance that I'm doing things aight!

My first go was a sativa Red Spice Hash!!! The damn plant flower for a 128 days, I had nutrient problems from the word go. I weed did get you high if you smoked it from a pipe, I cured it wrong, Everything that could go wrong did!! Check out my 2nd grow and tell my what you think!!! on first grow 4weeks or 5 weeks in and i already switched away from cfl too 400w hps.. and already want to get a 600w hps..
