With one grow under my belt I am not qualified enough to make comparisons but want to get the thread back on track so...

I bought female seeds WwxBb and Cinderella 99
6oz from WwxBb and 4 from c99.

Didn't really like the WwxBb but the Cindy is a thing of beauty.

5 pints of Stella and a bottle of red wine later (I was on holiday after all) I hit the c99 in my vape. Now that should have been game over but another vapeful later and I entertained Mrs me in the bedroom to a decent standard, a good time was had.

It's a remarkable strain :)

So I hit the WwxBb again the other day after about a month cure, well blow me, it wasn't bad at all. Stronger and nicer than my first samples.

So, can't compare against others but both were really easy to grow and rewarding.

I have grown the wwxbb before I rather enjoyed it. Nothing close to a lot of power strains out today but an easy heavy yielding good smoke. It was nice.
As you may have noticed, there's some rather opinionated people on here.

That said, there are some really helpful types and my yield was what it was because of these threads.

Point is, after sowing seeds I then looked into the strain (I know, cart before horse, I was a bit excited as it was my first grow)

Many waxed lyrical about c99 but there wasn't a lot of love for the WwxBb.

I think I allowed this to cloud my judgement so when I tried a harsh, rush dried sample with no cure I got what my preconceptions expected.

What I am now smoking doesn't resemble that sample, it may not be the best smoke ever but I'm now quite pleased with it

I've had excellent results with Greenhouse's Church. My biggest yielder and good high. A bit lacking in the flavor department though. Also, have done some Dinafem too and had nothing but great results. The Fruit Auto is amazing for an autoflower and I'm sure the Sweet Deep Grapefruit would be amazing as well. Moby Dick is a beast.

Well yea. The science is years worth of cross breeding and genetic evolution.

You have to also consider how most breeders make fem seeds. Fem seeds are often made by forcing a female to go hermie. By doing this, there's no male genes present in the seeds, thus you'll always get females. But at the same time, you're not evolving your genetics without a male.

Seeds produced by male pollen will always have stronger genetics.

Fem and auto genetics are essentially "locked". They can't be manipulated or bred to be better. With regulars, whatever you breed will always be slightly better.

Example.

If i force my strawberry cheesecake to go hermie and grow the seeds she provides, the genetics of the new plant is unchanged.

If i pollinate her with a male, the new seeds have the genetics of both strains and will result in a different plant.

WRONG...properly "selfed" females are not "hermied"! The seeds are as stable as the mother if done properly! The chemicals used create a hormone response in that location by the plant. It then grows actual male sex organs! It does not "herm"!!!!

They DO contain 2 sets of dna - they are just indentical....

You can pollinate a "femmed" plant - No "lock" there!

Quality "side by sides" HAVE been done and well documented! High Times did a side by side and found that S1 or "femmed" seeds grow more robust and yield better then "regular" seeds! This is true, look it up!

@Dr.Who
Any particular Dr Greenthumb strain you recommend?

Perhaps a fem one in keeping with the thread?

Useful strain info on the website, height is an issue for half my room. I like the height info, specifically related to the size of the plant when flipped

Ah yes, here I am then.....

You betcha! That east Coast Sour Diesel is way top shelf!
So is the "Ghost" cut OG and with Bubba OG, Iranian diesel and Headband right behind them.
I've done others and some can be very very good also.
The G-13 has broke the 3gpw point in SOG for me (I was trying)!
I like many more and have not gotten a dud from him....

Nice guy too.
