young plants problem

my plants are a mixture of 10 different types, they are flourishing well under t5s in a room 10 x 6 x 7 without fans.
when i move them to hps 600w with fans they seem to dry out, wilt, droop and shrivel in, the light is 2 feet away.
could it be a humidity problem.
could the lights be too close?

Then they real droopy after 12~14 hours of light :lol:

And then droopy later in that day :lol:

This is common problem :lol:

no.
they were under t5 cfl for 2 weeks after germination, i moved them to 600w hps with fans for 5 days they looked really poorly wilty and dry with light bleaching, i switched them back to cfl and within 12 hours they looked amazing, i kept them there for 2 days and they did great, i moved them back to hps yesterday morning and they look poorly again.

I'm guessing~I don't know nothing~like what size of pot~root bound~how tall they are~what kind of dirt or whatever your using~Have you feed'em yet~Are they droopy and the stem is soft and rubbery~That could mean feeding~

ok here are a couple of pics.

the one in the centre of the second picture is the only plant that does ok, northern lights big bud, the rest are drooping, lsd, purple haze, etc,etc.

moving them to soil today.

i have had this problem, and youre exactly right about the solution. when u switch to HID, have it like a good meter off the tops for a few days, gradually shorten it up as the plant hardens. good luck.

think about it.. under cool lights.. it does better within 12 hours (meaning you had 600 watt off for 12 hours which was enough time for the room to cool.)

Just my 2 cents on the POSSIBLE cause.

i have a temp computer controlled room, when the plants are under cfl the humidity is 50% when under hps with fans it is 30% so i added a humidifier and still the same problem, my plants looked ready to keel over this morning, i popped them back under the cfl and they are slowly picking up again, maybe i will try to keep them about 4 feet from the hps tomorrow and see if this helps.
