Most of the bay area is hit or miss. You may find a great neighborhood but would have to drive past the bad areas to get home. Or vice versa. Unless your making bank and can afford 3000$ rent. Just don't act like a lot of other transplants thinking their shit don't stink. Be part of your neighborhood and most of the 'hoods' will be nice to you. EPA is a nice place this time of year.
