Yea vortex are super cool to look at. Find myself smoking herb and just look at the water spin. And i simply built it, gravity does the rest ;)

Yea but I mean I've do e Alcott of research on LEDs and in my opinion their great for vegging but when it comes to flowering it doesn't penetrate the flowers compared to an hps if I'm making sense. And it'd be better to run a 400 watt hps with two 200 watt LEDs in combination.

As for aquaponics, i too have been interested in it. Im on the works of starting a 10g veggie aquarium.

However i only seen aquaponic successful with veggies or smaller fruit plants like strawberries. Ive yet to see a ssuccessful cannabis grow with aquaponics. Doesnt mean it hasnt or cant be done!

I have a turtle tank that completly sustaina itself. I can go weekss with out feeding my turtle and he will find food. The plants re thriving like no other! Almost uncontrollable. The water is super low because in the turtles natural habitat, the water is a little lower then usul at this time of year. Also would like to point out i havent clean/scrub the water in months! Thats because the plants and substrate is working their magic!!

Oh yea speaking of aquariums, i have one of my newly established vivarium growing in my a51 tent, ill post a pic when lights go on

Pretty much what you said isnt entirely true. Yes LEDs can penetrate like hps, if not better! Proof is in my yields, dawgs yield, hyroot yields, greengenes yields (which btw he has a active 1000w vs at600 led journal, i suggest you check that out) PSU yields, puffenuff yields, scotch yields, supra yields... sorry if i didnt mention your name, but yall know who you are. ;)

Only small downfall i would say is price, but like all other technology, it will lower in a matter of time.

So you are dissipating about 428W @ 39% efficiency. Here is what I got from 485W @ 37% (some old XTEs in this run) + 5 more zips not in the pic. (24W/sq ft and using recycled organic soil)

Look into Area 51 led and apache. As of now those are the top notch. Or look into building them yourself. Plenty of threads in the led section with plenty of info.

Your plants look super healthy!
I would advise to put anything that haas current off the ground. Safety first!

You'd be way better off with the 2-200w leds if they are quality. I pulled 6.5oz off the same light fyi is using. Others on here have made some good pulls with the light too. My new setup combing the 190 with the rw 150 will murder a 400w hps. And the rw seems to be doing better than the all white xgs. But I really need to do another couple grows to really assess the two leds. But I was a long time hid grower. I'll never go back. Have got a couple buddies to convert and all have been happy and they we're replacing 600 and 1k lamps. All seasoned vets as well none with less than ~10yrs growing experience some 20+ years.
 
Oh and look at rapidled onyx too. I like my area 51s. But onyx are probably best bang for your buck. Buddy swapped a 1k for 3 onyx blooms and they have him a good deal. Was like $1k for all 3 shipped. He just pulled 1lb with it and was his first full led cycle from clone through veg and flower. Def worth a look but not sure which is really better a51 rw 150 or onyx. But the onyx without a doubt can be had for less money.

Almost forgot one last thing. You could always ask captain his opinion and follow his thread. He's got an onyx and rw 150 going. I just know they can both produce some large colas on par with hps.

that's what I got. the ashcatcher thing is shady so im ordering a new down stem for it and putting a black leaf inline perc with tear drop shape precooler for it and a better bowl lol.
