Yield Guesstimate and General Comments and suggestions on my attempt

Anyhow, the one plant that was difficult at first to sex looks pretty female to me at this point. This is a medical grow for my friend/roommate.

She goes through about 1/8th every 3 months. the last time I bought some for her it had a few seeds in it. I am hoping this will grow about that much or a little more. It has turned into a short bush and I couldn't get photos of the main stem. They are starting to get a little sticky.

Ok, now for some questions:

Will this likely make my yield needs?

It doesn't smell at this point, when will it get bad?

I'd like to get more light into the jungle under there, but I cannot tie it out any more as it is already way over my comfort level for space.

Is it ok to trim it a little?


I popped them into the aerogarden I received for Christmas a couple of years ago but never opened. The light on the aerogarden wasn't big enough for this as it progressed so I bought a 4 bulb t5 and a couple of side lights. The trunk of this plant filled the aerogarden cup and actually was pretty mutated in there. It ended up being a surgical procedure to remove it. Its now in a powergrower and doing ok.

I actually don't smoke it myself anymore, but I am amazed at how much fun I have had messing with this. I think the secrecy of it adds to it.

nice looking female as far as yield no one can say there might be someone that could when ready to chop but that would be a guess cant weigh it till it hits the scale
and yes the secret of it is exciting too lol

I guess I'm not looking for an estimate. I'd like to know if I am likely to meet my yield needs of 1/8?

How tall and how wide is it? And by judging the pic the plants looks like its been showing buds for about 3-4 weeks? Right?
and what strain is it that will help me tell you when it's gonna be ready and will able to guess the possible yield

It's about 2 feet wide and about 15 inches tall. I think I started 12/12 around the 14th of last month.

From where I sourced it originally, it is likely northern lights. Although I wouldn't know it from super twizzler bubbleskunk so that is just a fair guess.

If you started 12/12 on the 14th of last month then this Saturday you'll be in week 4 so you should be done by October 16-23 and your yield maybe 1 oz would be more if you were using a hps bulb and a different setup. But you'll be happy you're gonna get over an 1/8

1/8......??? mate with a plant of that size i would say your going to get over 1 ounce at least. I had plants of a similar size and pulled 4 ounce of them each.... Your definatly going to want to take the skirt up on her, this is so that you don't get lower buds forming and that the top buds develope bigger and harder. also it helps with air oxygen to the under leaf of her.

Its under 4 2 foot t5 HO tubes of mixed colors 3000k & 6500k & six Compact fluorescent bulbs of the the same mix on the sides. I probably wont upgrade, but I am happy to hear I will make my yield needs. I'd rather not get too too much as I won't know what to do with it. Next attempt will be two much much smaller plants.

How do I pull the skirt up? Pretty much every branch is budding. The photo shows the second largest side bud as it was the easiest to take pictures of.

Should I change all the bulbs out to the 3000k's? The t5 has 2 3000k & 2 6500k in it currently.

And I'm still not certain what pulling the skirt up is.
