I'm aiming for 2 lbs. off 2 x 600 HPS. How much longer would I have to veg for the yield? The girls are tied down to these shelving unit sort of scrog technique. I have never done this before, its my first grow.

Like 3 months for 2 lbs. Unless that strain produces 2 oz donkey dicks
First grow should worry about plants staying healthy all way through flower. Cut dry cure. Weigh and make adjustments from there. Your first grow will never be a large yield.

I agree 2LB is not happening unless you are growing mids and fertilizing on the stronger side. Best I have ever got was 1.5LB and it was a bit farmy smelling and didnt seem like the buds wanted to finish, puffs of white pistils still popping out.
When it comes to top quality OGs done right I am very happy with 1LB. It will also depend on the age of your bulbs their output fades as they age.

I shoot for about an ounce per 100 watts. So, figure you could possibly get about 12 zips. Depending on strain and genetics of cours.

Was close to switching this morning. The strain is Jack Frost btw. I'm deciding to leave the girls in veg for maybe another week or two. Will post update pics then to see what you fellas think.

Mate I've seen 20+ oz's easy of a single 600 scrogged smaller than yours . When they flip you fill that screen no problem . Don't get caught up in other peoples laziness . I have also seen people grow 10+ oz with a 600 . From what I can see your doing well they look healthy . If I was you I would of put another plant in there maybe 2 (if you have room ) Then you will hit your goal with ease . I would flip soon because if that's all the room you have in the pic . You don't want it to be too crammed you might struggle with mould . Good luck

I second what rollajoint said.... Getting good weight is more about penis measuring than getting good bud.... You can have 20lbs from one plant, but that don't mean shit if it ain't getting you high.

I am with Barn Buster on this one, 1 pound. Its a weed its just hard to fine tune, people just try to do to much most of the time. I got 6.9 zips off one plant under a 400w. It was my first grow in soil in a 5 gallon paint bucket so anything is possible. Best of luck and lookin good. Drying and curing was the hard part for me in the beginning

Nice bud bro . Do you use superthrive in flower? I read that is contributes to not finish. Saw some pics with pistols shooting out during the last weeks. I'm deciding to just settle for 1.5 range. The space is just too small and that's not a real scrog.

Yea it makes sense that superthrive could do that. I avoid kelp meal tea, alfalfa meal tea and nitrogen in general during mid to late flowering.
I think you have a good idea of a realistic expectation. I hear stories of people getting over 1 gram/watt with big HPS grows but I have tried bare bulb and bare vertical for years and have never gotten more than .75gr/watt and it is closer to .5gr/watt for the really dank bud. A friend of mine got 4LB from 2000 HPS but it was definitely not top notch bud and it took 10 weeks to finish (Island Sweet Skunk) and was still under 1 gr/watt.
The only time I have gotten higher than that is with diy LED which cost an arm and a leg to do on a large scale.
