Forget your budget, 89w will give you about the power of a 400-600w HPS in a 2x2, minus the heat and electric bill. No shit.
This is a complete load of nonsense. An 85 watt LED or COB is NOT going to replace a fucking 600w HPS....the laws of thermodynamics sort of prohibit it.

Yes. It will. At 12 inches, it puts out as much PPFD as a 600w. At 16", about 800-850 PPFD. You are ill-informed. Search COBs on this site and elsewhere and you will find what I'm saying is fact. Unlike HID, COBs use their energy in joules to convert to usable spectrum and not heat or unusable, therefore the Laws of Thermodynamics aren't broken.

I'm gonna research this thanks for both y'all opinions but I'll let y'all both know what I'm able to find out myself

Also, HIDs are incandescent. COBs are solid state. COBs were invented to replace HIDs in High Bay and Low Bay factory and warehouse applications. Further proving what I am telling you.

A 150 watt hps is only good for the seedling stage...you need at least 400 watts of hps to get good results...I pull 12-14 zips from a 400. in a 4x4 that is .

That's gonna be ok m8, the only thing I think would help a bit is some white reflective sheeting or diamond Mylar around it, you're on a budget so a tent might be out the question, but I simple wooden frame to go around it with the sheeting pulled over, or do it in 2pcwith 2 sides each at a right angle so u can move one to get in there. It would stop u loosing all that light that's escaping out and reflect it back at your plant

Something like this but u could do it in 2 halfs and not have a top if u don't have any light leaks where it is
