This strategy of taking out terrorists who threaten us, while supporting partners on the front lines, is one that we have successfully pursued in Yemen and Somalia for years

The Yemeni parliament was installed by a free election. The Houthis boycotted it- and then instituted a coup.
The Saudis provided arms and aid to this fledgling legitimate government, which proved to be insufficient to stop
the Houthis.
