Yellowing Tips? ** PICS **

So I have two plants, they are about 4 days apart in age. The oldest one was put under 2 CFL's equaling to 3200 Lumens on Friday, and ever since, the tip of one of the leaves slowly but surely are turning like a brown color. I really don't think its burnt, but what else could it be *99% sure*. Also, it seems to be stunted, could this be from the new lights, because as far as progress wise, the older one is ahead; but for height, the younger one is much taller already. Is this to much light too soon? The oldest one is a week and 1 day old as of today. +Rep given, TIA.

What kind of soil are you using? Honestly I wouldn't even worry about that spot. It happens to seedlings all the time, more than likely it's nothing. If it keeps getting worse as the plant gets bigger then I'd start trying to figure it out.

I'm using Sta-Green soil with time released ferts. Problem is Motorbuds that ever since that spots occurred, it seems to be stunted, and wont really grow anymore.

I was under the impression that flushing with time release ferts in your soil just breaks down the nutes faster and essentially feeding your plants more? Can someone confirm or deny that either way?

to flush means to basically give your plant a shit load of water and let the excess drain off. This clears the soil of salt and nutrient build ups which can cause problems in plants down the road. I usually give my plants a good flush about every 3 weeks. I like to wait until they get bigger though. When you flush seedlings too much water can cause it to droop and have stunted root growth.

I would give it just water for the next couple of days or so and see how they do.

Just a regular watering I could see, but when your ferts are time released in the soil and you start dumping large amounts of water in your medium aren't you activating those ferts?
