that what i would have guesed also ph imballance will lock soil. 7 is nutral

i got one of them cheap ph test kits for soil i tried it with the soil and water iv been using and it turned green indicating 8.0 then i checked the water alone and it also read 8.0 so if i get something to lower the ph in my water this should fix my problem??????????????????????

yeah that should fix the issues.. you can go buy some PH DOWN at ur grow shop. if u can't get to the grow shop i think there are ways to lower it using shit around the house, search around for it. i think lime juice works, but don't quote me on that one. good luck.

lime will raise and acid will lower.it should if it wont need a flush, but i dont think so.

oooh... dunno, i use a straw to drop it in so not sure exactly how much, but if you get the ph too low, use baking soda to bring it back up. all you need is plain vinegar and baking soda and you can master ph. :)

thanks for the info by the way i used one of those cheap soil ph testers to test the water the tester is a little container with the ph colour chart you mix a little soil with water then pour in this powder and the water changes colour i just put the water in with the powder would this be an accurate enough way of checking the waters ph or is it only good for soil?????????

should be... i bought a ph water tester on ebay for like $20 bucks. it's great and accurate (and digital). :)
