Yellowing Leaf/Brown Tips Dry

Lime does not lower ph it raises it. I need to see some recent pics of the yellowing/browing tips. I've had this happen only on the autoflower strains. Sometimes a sign of giving them to much nutrients. Cut back on the nutes a lil and get you some cal mag boost. Hydro stores carry it. I'm pretty sure its by Botnicare and its organic. Get me some pics ASAP bro I hope everything is going good.
And bro you can jack the thread anytime you want.

Sounds like it might be mg def. That happened to my plant, and the leaves got crispy pretty fast, with brownish gray necrotic areas on them. Are some of your leaves folding a bit, pointing upward? That's one sign of mg def. Usually folks say when in doubt, flush. But from my personal experience with my plant, the def.spread really fast! Here's an excerpt from the growfaq.Does it look like this?

Magnesium
Chlorophyll has the same structure as Hemoglobin, except that it has a magnesium atom in place of the Iron atom. Chlorophyll is how plants make sugars to feed the process of building ATP through the Krebs cycle.

A magnesium deficient plant is identified by intervenial chlorosis, necrosis, and eventually a lockout of plant nutrients. The problems starts at the bottom of the plants and works it?s way up.

These images depict different stages and signs of a magnesium deficiency. The first picture is a Mg deficient plant in flower, and the second two are of the leaves to show what I mean by Intervenial Chlorosis.

Treating with an Epsom salts mix will clear this right up.

Heres my problem. Over the past few days I havent seen her reach for the light (cfls) like she normally does..sometimes I would have to go in there and kind of fan her out with my hands and now i dont have to. Now that shes not responding...the lower part of my canopy is starting to fade yellow (smaller leaves) and brown edges / drying up. All the bigger/new leaves are fine and green. Is this normal? Should she always be responding to the light?? I mean ive used lst on her again and the stem came back up as if it was responding to it. Weird.

The leaves are kind of droopy but NO way its an over water droop. Ill take a pic. I water that 12'' pot (width) every week. And I barely give it water. Maybe its just thirsty.

checked on it this morning and the yellowing is not getting better. The bottom is starting to brown a bit and dry up really fast. I wonder if I veg'd it to long?? Maybe shes thirsty. Im sure its not nute burn I feed it 5-2-5 every other watering, but it wasnt quite diluted as I wanted it to be. Either way it doesnt look like a burn. The yellowing started few days ago and is working its way up. Any help would be appreciated!!!!! You can look at my journal and kind of picture just the bottom yellow..working its way up

See ive been saying this the whole freaking time bro. If you added that lime it should've taken care of this. Not to be rude but what kind of soil ph tester you got? If its a cheap one maybe thats the problem?

Stoney: They do brown but not like that. the YOUNGER leaves are getting brittle, the tiny ones, yellowing real fast and just started feeling crispy. I dont think its a mag def because everything else is green, just a little drooping going on and yellowing. Thirsty??

Bro your right I should of whenever I was putting the soil in..im dumb. I get a test kit from home depot. I just found out my pet store has pH up and down and a badass tester. I already tested my pH with BMO 5-2-5 and it was little below 7 man. I know it cant be a pH problem man. I mean it says what 6-7 it should be around. Its never been higher than that. Think I should just stick with some watering see what happens in couple days? I mean shes REALLY green and feels soft..just not perking.

Well, if you water till the water comes out the bottom of the pot each time, you know you're giving them enough. Some deficiency is normal in flower as the nitrogen gets used up. Listen, I was watering my plant with ph 7 water and it locked the nutes right up.You want 5.9 to about 6.5.Slightly acidic. Now, do you have a tds meter? It measures total dissolved solids, and if you have hard water, it's gonna be hard for the plant to absorb her nutes correctly.
So, I guess I'm gonna go back to, when in doubt, flush. After the flush, lay off the nutes until she's recovered.

The water shouldnt be hard. I do live on acres that has well water but I dont use it. Like before, i use purified water. I have tested over 5 different kinds and found the best. I need to get a tds meter and go ahead and purchase some pH up and down, thanks.

I am having the same problem and started adding 1 tbsp per gallon of ph down and half strength nutes and the solution usually tests at just over 6 and by the time i flush the mediums ph is about 6.7 but plants are looking better. It was nute lockout 'cause of high ph levels. Only two girls left out of my original 12 germinated seeds. Have to take care of them. Bring down the ph and you will notice your plant enjoying life.

This is the only reason why i BUY my water. Yes I know sounds stupid but it will help in the long run. My faucet is well water so fuck that. If you are having pH problems with youre water, go down to ur local walmart and find those big bins to fill up water. Cheap as fuck.

.37 cents a gallon!!!!!! Cant beat it..then again I havent checked the pH on that. Aquafina came out best.

I just bought one of those little sink R.O. filters. It might come out of the faucet slow as hell but its the same thing as a big one just a lot cheaper.

If you're talking about a pur filter, mine only gets rid of 10 ppm and does NOTHING for the ph.:peace:

I use the PUR to take out a little junk. I let it sit out to let chlorine evaporate, and then adjust PH w/ my up/down solutions
:)

My water seems to be OK.

Yeah, mines pretty shitty water, so I have to use distilled or drinking water form the store.
