Im using a lliquid tester. Im literally filling the glass tube you get & putting in 2/3 drops of tester. It comes out yellow everytime!! I bought 10 liters of bottled water yesterday that Im going to use for watering them.
I don't know what liquid test your using, but the color on mine says that yellow is 6.0 , 5.0 is orange, 4.0 is basically red. If you had a 3.0 it would be pure red.
How are you testing your pH? Because you are not getting an accurate reading. There is no way in hell you have 3 pH water right out of the tap. That's almost Vinegar.
Ok wtf? I just googled ph scale & its like each chart uses its own colours representing different ph's. How the fuck are you supposed to know which is the right one?
Ok, I just thoguht there is ONE ph scale that uses a uniform set of colour standards. I have very poor eyesight so I just took a picture of my bottle of ph test & on the side it has this picture. Does this say 6ph is yellow? Again I find it hard to make it out.
Which means your ph is maybe a little bit low, but not bad so your soil should have no problem buffering it I would think. Sort of leads back to them just being a little hungry .
