yellowing, droopy, purple leaf stems, curling down

Hydro Growers:
1. Are you growing from seed or clones? seeds
2. How old are your plants? put in bubblers on aug 7, so 3 1/2 weeks

5. What brand/type of nutrients are you using?Gh 3-part
6. Do you have a PPM/EC meter?yuppers
7. What is the PPM/EC of your tap water?0, its RO
8. What is the PPM/EC of your nutrient solution?550ppm
9. What is the temperature of your nutrient solution?69f
10. Does your PPM/EC show a rise or fall when you do your daily PPM check? not so much
11. Does your pH show a rise or fall when you do your daily check?always rises. i check them everymorning, set to 5.4 - 5.5, and by 24hrs later, its up to 5.8 - 5.9. Should i be leaving it up at the high end for a little while, or keep putting it down?
12. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything?nope
13. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights") 400w mH
14. How close are your lights to the plants?about 12"-16"
15. What size is your grow space in square feet? 30 , only using about 1/2 the space tho
16. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space? temp average 70-74f daytime, 66-69f nighttime, rH is between 40-60%
17. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space?nope
18. How much experience do you have growing? a fair amount from clone, but htis is my first seed grow. Oh ya, and i am a
on hydro. Done an arse load of reading over the past few years, so i decided to give it a shot.

Here i have a pic for you all to help me assess my problem...

MY plants are WW. I did a res change last night, thinking that they were hungry, but apparntly not. The problem is gettin worse, i think.
Please help! I am really hoping to get this solved asap as im going away, and leaving my roomy in charge for 2 weeks.
do i need to???

oh ya, the problems..... older growth is yellowing, purple fan leaf stems, drooping, and the new tips are curling down...

that's a hella list of questions.

they look perfect. the leaf tips appear just barely turning lighter. to me this indicates nitrogen burn about to start. i keep mine just like that. just on the edge of burning. you can back off a little to be safe.

visit all the sites you want. knowledge is power.:peace:

:blsmoke: appreciate ur advise, fdd.... i think i am just a little too anxious, is all....
and i think the problem was the res they were in was too small. I put them into a 12g res, instead of the 4g, and they have takin off quite a bit....lookin a lot better than before, :mrgreen:thats for sure.....
i also added another airpump, so i now have 1 per res w/5 airstones each
roots have grown a substantial amount since entering the bigger res....
