yellowing drooping leaves

my plants are bout three weeks old and always seem to have drooping leaves and the leaves are turning yellow at the bottom. what is from? what should i do different?

Could you post a few pics Cody? The yellowing could be nitrogen deficiency but we need more info.

What soil? Nutrients? Do you have drain holes? Do you measure your PH after adding nutrients?

im using a scotts soil with no nutrients added and the techna flora recipe for success to add the nutes, i got a cheap ph reader isnt really worth shit and im a novice so im not sure how to check soil ph. and there are drain holes in all the pots

they arent really as yellow as i thought the hps really threw me off

They look pretty good - the lower fan leaf discolouration looks like a PH problem Cody.

1. Calibrate your PH pen - if you cannot buy calibration solution use distilled water - ph of 7. Calibration solution is the best. If you don't know how to change the calibration on the pen post the make and model number and I'll look it up. Usually just a screw adjuster.

2. Mix your nutrients according to your feeding schedule - less than Flora Nova's recommendations usually. If you see brown tips on your lower fan leaves cut back on the nutes. Next feeding just add water, no nutes.

3. Measure the PH of your feeding solution after adding all nutrients. PH adjust clear water as well.

4. Adjust the PH to between 6.3 and 6.8 by adding a non-toxic acidic or basic additive. If you have no store bought I can suggest alternatives from around the house.

They're over watered. Probably, ph is a bit off as well. If you go to icmag.com and check out Stitches Sick Plant Guide, there's a photo of overwatered plants identical to yours. I have a buddy that overwaters and has for years. He believes it's normal for leaves to droop after watering. And he wonders why he's had Fungus Gnats for about 6 years.

i feel like its the nutes. ive only fed them twice and they always seem to do well after. ive also been told it was over watering, im planning on not watering or feeding for a day or two to see what happens.

Cody are you watering every day or letting the bucket dry completely then soaking?

The umbrella shaped canopy is a sign of overwatering as Mr Smith advised, but it could be partly from the strain - it looks like Bubba Kush.

I germinate in 20 oz cups so I have a small environment to control.

You look like you have some PH problem, which will cause nutrient lockout. Over feeding to make up for the deficiency will then cause burn.

over watering for sure...i was watering them as i thought necessary, and i later learned that plants like regular feeding schedules, i let them go a few days and there is much improvement, i guess i wasnt sure what "dry" soil was, i used random seeds for my first grow so if it turns out to be bubba kush ill be extremely excited.
