Yellowing and small discolouration on first set of leaves

just transpanted my girl. I used promix seedling starter, promix organic her and vegetable mix and a little bit of regular miracle grow potting soil to top off my 5 gallon. Did mix all the soil together in the pot.

Seeedling starter mix is what my girl started off in the solo cup and no issues.

I have a slight yellowing and some very small light brown spots appearing on my first set of leaves at the bottom. The ones that come out after the coleydons.

I just transplanted yesterday into the 5 gallon pot. Today I noticed the small issue. I have not used any fertilizer.

Temps are usually around 20-21c at night and 28-30c during the day. My girl is under a 400 watt MH that’s about 22-24 inches away from the canopy.

Sorry for the crappy photo. I tried to get as close as possible to the area I’m trying to show.

Can we get a whole plant pic? It's like saying what's wrong with my hand and only showing a pinky lol.

Really eh? Looks hungry? The plant was just transplanted. Thought I should wait a bit before feeding? Guess I gotta go to the hydro store to get some veg nutes and a bloody Ph meter.

Do I only need one ph meter for liquid? And then just measure run off cause i doubt it can measure the soil with the same meter?

What did you transplant it into?

I’m assuming the promix has some nutes too no?i threw out the bags so I forget the numbers.

I don't know, it's your dirt lol. I don't use store bought anything.

If the soil is fertilized, it'll pick back up.

Edit: I lied. I buy coco lol.

Yea, just one for nutes and runoff. For soil, you do a slurry test. Same meter. Or you can get fancy, your call.

Wtf is a slurry test? Lol.

Well I never had issues with the promix seedling starter. I’m pretty sure it’s the miracle grow and I used barely anything but that must be the variable. I guess I’ll just wait it out through the soil and never use MG again.

You say you're using the pro-mix organic herb and vegetable mix? that does have some amendments, and some kind of chicken manure as fertilizer. For me, that was good enough to not have to feed at least the first 2-3 weeks of life. First and foremost..you have to get your environment correct! Your average temps are too high! Unless you're adding extra co2, temps hovering around 30 celsius will hurt you! Another is your day/night differences..a max of 35c is lethal to the plants!..then 20c at night? With those kind of differences..your plant will stretch to the sky! Your humidity as well..20 as a low is not good! Until those are corrected..it's hard to say whether anything should be added or not..since temps/humidity are what dictate plant transpiration. For now she looks nice, but get the environment fixed! :) Even now it shows 29c and 28% humidity? That's going to cause you issues down the road!

I need to install an exhaust fan. I’m buying a booster fan to run as an exhaust on the light cycle. My tent gets way to warm closed with the MH running. But keeping humidity up is becoming an issue for me. When I was using the LED bulb for the seedling I never opened the tent. But now I have to on order to keep temps down. The 35 was an error. Tent should have been opened at 1 which would keep the temps around 29-28c. The fact I opened at 2 is why the temp spiked.

With temps that high, 28-29c..you would need your humidity to be around 65% for best results. Maybe try hanging some wet towels in the tent?

Ignore it ... those water leaf are going to shit out anyways. All of the “ true leaves “ are fine.
Increase the feed ( looks like it’s getting a little light. ) .

Sometimes growers see things that are not of concern.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn’t sure if those first set were considered true leaves or not. I know the colyedons die off. Wasn’t sure what these were doing. But the rest of my growth looked okay to me.

Also I do have wet shirts in the tent on the floor. Guess I’ll hang them up instead across the top.

Still going to be picking up a booster fan. I just hate my MH. Thing runs way to hot to leave the tent closed without a fan running as an exhaust. My flower tent is going all LED to manage heat easier.

MH / Hps increases transpiration and dries out plant a bit faster than led.

Your RH is the result of the grow environment , a humidifier will help to a point .
I left MH years ago because of the heat and the issues associated. Grew great plants but brought in heat stress , bleaching . Once dialed it’s fine but moved to cobs and qb boards.

Plants need a stable temp and Rh during different stages.

Will try he booster fan tonight to decrease temps. Then gonna be able to leave the tent closed which will lock in humidity.

I’m buying a HLG board for my flower tent. But don’t have enough for my be tent. This is why I’m using my old MH that I had from years ago for a precious grow. Going to phase that one out when I have the chance too.

Well I’m ordering a vivosun 4inch booster fan to run as an exhaust to cure the issue of the heat. It’s only 100cfm. I wanted to run a 6inch as it’s a 240CFM. Downside is the port for 6 inches is on the very top of tent and I didn’t want to run my duct work verticle. Rather run duct work horiazonal out the side and that port is only a 4inch. Hope the 4inch will be enough to cool my sucker down.
