Hey bud, yes 6.5 is not good. Here is a better chart for just hydro and you can see 6.5 is too high and locks out many things. You should aim to float your ph up and down between 5.75 and 6 for optimal uptake. 6.5 Misses Mag, Boron and Phosphorus completely.

I'm on a covid budget too - but masking tape (most tape) will loosen because the light's heat will soften the adhesive.
Try some paracord (or other strong-ish cordage) and learn a couple knots.
I have a light hanging on black paracord (lights out or send a pic).
There's a Bowline on the top bar, an anchor hitch on the bottom, and a trucker's hitch about a foot above that for adjustability.
