Yellow/crispy leaf edges **with pictures**

Hey everyone, can someone help me diagnose this problem I’m having with 2 of my pink kush clones?

They are about 4 weeks old now, planted in a soil/soiless medium (promix hp, promix mycorrhizae potting soil, added perlite and vermiculite, and a good hand full of worm castings). I’ve been watering them once every 6-7 days with lots of runoff. Runoff seems very high in ppm so I flushed this last watering.

pH of watering solution, 5.8-5.9 pH/370 ppm
Runoff water is 6.0 pH on average but has like 1700+ ppm! Is that from the potting mix nutrients and worm castings?

They're all in a 4x8 grow tent with controlled humidity, 45% rh +/- 7%, as well as a temperature controlled environment 25c +/- 2 degrees celsius
3x 1200w led lights from Amazon that pull 115 watts from the wall each

share your thoughts on what I’m seeing please, am I looking at a deficiency or Nute burn? thanks for any input!

Whoa! 1700 is HIGH! I think it's supposed to be like 900-1k ppm on budding girls Back off on the feeding till that comes down. Or flush em good! They're burning. Your PH is good, thats the same numbers I use and strive for. light is good if maintained around 18" from top canopy. Everything is good except ppm. Get it down bro.

Cool blind eye, thanks for the input, I flushed on the last watering. The runoff was slightly lower around the 1100-1200 range, so I won’t feed for a while.

Was mixing worm castings and potting soil into promix hp a bad idea? I’m not sure if that’s made my soil too “hot”

It wasnt a bad idea. Your on the right track, but it did make the soil to hot. I'd get the ppms down to around 300-500 and see how they respond before feeding. Keep a close eye at the tops, that'll tell you how well they like whays going on since the bottom to mid levels have discoloration. In my exp, those discolored leaves dont go back to normal, as they eventually die. Keep an eye on any leaves that are healthy looking as they can be used as indicators of how things are progressing along in the recovery.

The yellow leaf margins are an indication of being short on K and the plant looks as though it could use more Mg. With that being said, you will need to come to terms with your pH and the style of grow you're working with. If your pH is off, trying to fix an issue is fruitless. A pH of 5.8-6.0 is a hydro pH and you're not running hydro. This is where I'd start.

But since I’ve used both, soil and soilless, should I try playing around with my ph? I’m not sure if I’ve got a soilless/hydro grow or a soil grow. With having both mediums in together, should I be adjusting for soil or soilless/hydro numbers?

I'd call what you got a "soil" grow. I got 6 plants in miracle gro potting mix running a 5.8-6.2 ph range

My plain water goes in at 5.8 adjusted with "ph down"
My one gallon nute solution (12mL of fox farm tiger bloom) needs no adjustment and goes in at 6.2
My well water has a baseline of 7.8

Lemme know if you cant see that pic good and I'll redo it.

Thanks bro! I’ll try that for sure, go a little higher on the scale and see what happens. As for now, I’ve flushed them with fairly low ppm water with only adding 10ml of cal mag for 4 gal of water with 4ml of armorSI from General hydroponics, I’ll keep y’all posted. If I see more yellowing on the edges of the leaves, I’ll half to treat it as a K deficiency and go from there, appreciate all the input brothers

Your very welcome. I added that scale so you'll have a reference as to what could be happening at different ph levels. Itll help narrow down deficiencies at that ph level. At 6 it can soak up every nutrient avail. That tiger bloom is going in on my flowering lady. I use the grow big on vegging after they reach about 6-8 inches so N dont burn. Also do a googlefu search for "grow bible" you'll be glad you did. Grow strong bro
