if you want to see how someone really is, see how they treat those who are smaller than they.
if i was being a total prick to be around and to someone, would i want to be slapped to set straight?

well,, slapping my wife, just made her cry.. the words "i will leave you if you dont stop that shit" had much greater effect.
its perhaps bit easier for women to go temporarily nuts in our society, really much greater pressures on them.
and thats just in the west, my wife is from a society that reminds of 18th century europe at times
but, thats really no excuse, its really horrible for someone so much larger than my wife to even slap her (its not nice living with someone much larger that might hurt you, she would be totally defenseless unless she managed to go for my balls (and thats horrible living under that threat all the time, being defenseless against someone.)
and control through violence is always wrong.
and i do wish in retrospect that i had limited my actions to words, for they were much more effective.
in the past ive sometimes stopped a fight with a joke (i live around vikings that get superdrunk on weekends, happens more than you´d think (though mostly around teenagers (usually people grow out of this around 24))

i think maybe a big strong mommy type would melt all that violence right out of connery, he´s probably been to scared to go after anything but bratty girls
(i think the cool is mostly superficial and that he´s a big soft boy underneath (i think he mostly slaps women cause thats the way he was raised (probably a strong but distant father)
