Yes that would be a problem, having a dimmer makes things easier
Do it. It will only benifit your below canopey growth, as long as you can keep your temps in check blast the whole plant with as much light as you can get. My HLG massivley and my adding somewhat outpreform my ts's so Im not gonna dim my better lights to replace them with lesser light. I'm not bitchen the MH TS line are perfectly fine lights, just not as good as my other options

It worked for me.

I used my XS 1500 to light "the front row" for this grow. The plant in the picture was one of my last auto grows. My experience with autos is that they just get really big and unmanageable. The grow after this one ended up at 4'+ so I switched to photos.

Well i wish i had that problem lol Yes i can see you have a jungle in there i am amazed at the results of DWC. i grow in peat based mediums and coco/perlite so my yeilds are modest. I have been running perpetual auto grows in 2x 3/3s 4 in each which works well and ive always got a single photoperiod in a 2/2 its great to have both and to be able to switch things up i am space restricted and in australia its still very illeagle to cultivate. DWC looks like the way to go.

I have a strawberry cheese photo in the 2/2 2 weeks after flip atm and some pinneappple express autos at 3 and a half weeks. Ill side light the chem dog autos in the other tent as they are a few weeks from finishing. Your info on lighting and lux meters has definately benefited my grows thankyou! now i think i must make the transition to DWC. in australia we have very limited options for soil or decent peat based mediums im stuck with canna terra professional or coco perllite.

This is the first draft set up the light is about where it needs to be i think. ppfd is roughly 500 ish not sure if thats to much or not what do you think about under canopy light levels? id like to hear your suggestions, i was thinking i could lower the light to the tent floor and have it positioned on a 45 degree angle as more of an under canopy option. The canopy ppfd its3lf is the same as it was before adding the xs. Happy to hear better sughestions of which im sure there are many

I swear I was almost gonna ask if they were autos. I feel like the autos I have seen lately make huge buds but shorter..
Every auto ive grown in the last 2 years have been super short nothing over 3 foot mind you ive seen some DWC grows and they can be monsters. Sativa dominant strains tend to be bigger. Its all about lst to get decent yeilds or grow heaps at one time. I like both worlds 1 large photopetiod with a heap of autos gets great yeild and variety
