So I'm getting my 650 from advanced after I had problems with my 350 because of the power supply being faulty. I was vegging my babies under both 10w cree and flowering lights and the results were really nice. My main problem is with my 350 my plants started to get burned from the light at 18" what would you guys say is the sweet spot for a powerful led? My babies are on day 10 of flower and sadly have spent only six of those under LED and the rest has been under cfl. I'm curious how I will mount this light in my tent and I'm worried two bars wont be enough to keep it up. So yeah how far do I keep my babies from the light and should I try to have the light hung from the corners for more support? Or should I try to get a better hanging rail. Thank you guys for the help in advance.

I wish I had these amazing lights from the start but on the bright note this little girl gets to spend another couple weeks under it so I think it will see some really nice growth under it.closebud1-cleaned.jpgIMG_20150621_121212_226-cleaned.jpg IMG_20150621_121503_902-cleaned.jpg IMG_20150621_121651_736-cleaned.jpg IMG_20150621_122038_129-cleaned.jpg This is one of the few plants that made it on my current and first grow. I'm certain my next grow will be much better.

There was a guy on grasscity that did a side by side comparison with a 1000w hps. He did 6 plants under each light, the xml pulled 11 oz and the hps did 20. But he let the plants get 6ft tall and said it was his first time using led and admitted if he would have controlled the height better hes sure the xml would have done much better.he also said the quality under the xml was noticeably better.

I think one of the most noticeable differences with LED is the quality overall, (higher trichomes, terpenes and resin production) but for most part still lacks in yield production.

I'm really super keen to go LED to save on costs, heat, efficiency etc, and grow a higher quality bud, but as a grower selling for profit, yield is a big factor for me, and tbh most of my clientele probably wouldn't care as long as it makes them stoned lol.

Yea it does seem most people agree that led does come out frostier and very dense, but they lack the penetration of hid. There was another side by side with the apache tech and 1000w hps and the hps only pulled about an ounce more. I believe the led pulled around 600 watts from the wall, but also cost $2500.
