yeah the plastic only cost a few cent but the machines that make them cost more the printing ink for the booklets, the wrapping, the paper, the deals with large company's buying thousand of games at a bulk discount...... like walmart and game stop. more money from just skipping all that completely.I'm sorry, the underlined is bullshit. How much does a DVD cost? <$.02 ?
When you buy a game, you're paying for the the system. Microsoft and sony both LOSE a couple hundred dollars everytime they sell a system. All profits come from games.
How about you explain why Dragon Age II is $60 on steam?yeah the plastic only cost a few cent but the machines that make them cost more the printing ink for the booklets, the wrapping, the paper, the deals with large company's buying thousand of games at a bulk discount...... like walmart and game stop. more money from just skipping all that completely.
downloads have already proved to be better why elese would sony make all there new psp's and NGP psp's disk less.....
and phone app store leading the way... happened to music and no one thought it would happen then either
they only lose money on the systems for the first two years, after that they come out of the read and begin making profit. also games being on an internet store allows for more games from smaller companies, more games equals more money....
and honestly sony made there money from ps2 sales being continued for the first 4 years of ps3, not games.
and if it doesn't make it cheaper explain why burnout paradise on psn was 20 bucks while 55 on disc for same game????
it saves me money an thats all i care about.
heard a bit about steam, how exactly does it work? do they just sell digital rights to games and you just download em?How about you explain why Dragon Age II is $60 on steam?
you got lucky or are lying because I sent mine in 4 times and every time it took 2-3 months. On the 5th time they tried to charge me 100 dollars to fix it so I said fuck that and bought a ps3.Got the red ring three times. MS would send me an empty box and i would send in the xbox. 7-10 days later brand new (not refurbished) xbox at my door with no shipping costs. Im cool with the problems as long as CS is that good. jmo
You bought it used, didn't you? I've only had the RROD twice and they fixed it free both times.you got lucky or are lying because I sent mine in 4 times and every time it took 2-3 months. On the 5th time they tried to charge me 100 dollars to fix it so I said fuck that and bought a ps3.
I actually bought the new xbox with madden for 70 dollars of some kid and the game on it dont look close to as good.I sold it in less then a week.
Where did you get one so early?Heres My xbox 720
Microsoft sent itWhere did you get one so early?
I dont even remember if it was used or new,it was so long ago.My disc drive also broke on it though lol,I had to jam a screwdriver in there to get a game out every time. You bought it used, didn't you? I've only had the RROD twice and they fixed it free both times.
Not my Pic its the real thingI had my Xbox 360 for 5 years without any issues. I finally got the red rings last year and bought the Xbox 360S. I have a friend who has a PS3 and I prefer the 360. As far as the picture in this thread of the supposed 720, I call bullshit! There have been pictures of the 720 for about as long as the Xbox 360 has been out.
I didn't say it was your picture, I just said it was bullshit. Just like all the pictures of the PS3 before it came out. As we all know the PS3 looked like a Bose lifestyle system (since it came out first I always said Sony stole their idea from Bose) before the slim came out. The new Xbox will not be anything too weird and will be pretty generic looking. Of course it will dominate the marketplace for a few years. Not my Pic its the real thing
