actually I have tried them bro, back when I was a teenager... and I regret ever doing any type of garbage like that.... unless your prescribed the chemical for a good reason...why even fuck with it??

Oh, wait, it does come in a pill and was originally sold like that... hmmm well you are opening a bigger can a worms now. I can see where you can be against big pharma. So am i. But shit, xanax, alprazolam could have been whipped up in someones basement and sold as a powder on the street or a liquid or a happy face press pill and never gone to be made by big pharma, then would it be cool? I think you are getting caulght up in the images that certain drugs are given.

Think of all drugs as a compound and go from there. Who cares if a dr has to perscribe them. I, myself, I hate xanax. I was doing a lot for like a year. Doing 5 2mg bars a day and I was toasted by nite fall. I tried it, made my own decision, saw what it did to me. But I would have never taken anyone elses word for it. Look and see if I came on here and read your post. Then I go around thinking what you say is right and be ignorant for the rest of my life...

well im prescribed xanax, and they have helped me alot with a anger problem and a very bad sleeping problem. so i think they have been a great pill. i dont take them to get fucked up, just to sleep. so everyone has there thoughts on the subject as we have seen. its your body do what you want with it;-) when i CAN smoke weed again and not be a UA's i will drop this pill for sure:-P i think my anger and sleeping problem is cuz im not high... nuff said

Why, thank you for being reasonable, sir. It may turn a lot of recreational users into losers but some know how to use the drug to have a good time once in awhile. I think I'm the latter but I'm sure some here think I'm the former. So, you're right no point in arguing. Thank you for your opinion.

It's a chemical that effects a chemical system. In particular quantities it has particular effects, in a particular setting it has particular effects. The reality is that just because a person has some experience with a drug doesn't mean they have enough experience to determine that taking that particular drug won't cause harm. The concept of a mighty WILL that remains unperturbed when a person introduces a substance into his or her body is a concept carried by those with very little experience with drugs over time. I say "over time" because spending the two years between 16-18 as a miscreant drug addict certainly isn't enough experience to determine much of anything.

One conclusion that most who use drugs over time reach is that some substances influence our moods and behaviour more negatively than others. Those who are able to integrate drugs into their lives in such a way that they enhance their lives are able to do so because they care enough about themselves to take there own suseptabilities seriously.

I enjoy the effect of xanax on rare occasions but have found I'm likely to be irritable and depressed the day after using it so It's rare that I use it. Xanax is also so easy to use habitually. I mean it doesn't stink like weed or alcohol. Doesn't spill or require smoking, is hard to detect a person who is on a reasonable dose, helps with social anxiety and sleep (which means added vectors of possible of dependence), and there is an entire industry that will gladly supply the justifications one might need to use the stuff habitually (the psychiatric industry if you were wondering).

Also, and perhaps I'm wrong here but I think that it can be fairly accurately said that just about every individual who fucks over themselves and their loved ones through substance abuse starts out with the belief that it can't happen to them.
