WwW's DIY LED Projects and Experiments

Hello Folks, i am a new guy on RUI.. i have been reading all about LED light building for a few months now.
i have a small cabinet garden that needed to be custom fitted lighting to save space, heat, electric.
here's a pic of my first COB single from Supra's thread on the THCFarm..42watts 3070 3000k
and my second project,, the skeleton veg light for my secret cabinet
running 19 XML2 stars with a HLG-120H-C1400B and a 10 turn bourn 1000k pot with a 10k 1/4w low limiter
resistor. what also inspired me was that most of the boxed LED's just look like something that belongs in a strip club ,it's not sexy..it's a grow light..so my first COB sits between 2 of those pink emitting disco lights..
here's the funny part the COB i built 42w drawhad a LUX reading of 31000 ..the 185w pink light was @ 41000
all i need now is more stuff to make the Sun shine like it should inside thanks and have a great day all.

Mini update on the veg light, the cabinet is ice cold..even with it @ fullpower 94watts lol
got a few cold seedlings ..tis is what happens when you remove the 125w CFL
Any idea's are welcome to help warm up the veg cabinet..thinking a mini heater,
but that would ruin the efficiency..of putting power back into it.wouldn't it ?

I like ur style dude. Its hard to tell from the picture, but do you have a fully functioning led workshop in your living room? I think I see a flat screen in the back ground, lol

day 55 on WW under the 3000k 42 watt wonder.. had a mite attack 10 days ago..rosemary oil spray FIXED THAT REALLY FAST,only a little damage done,
1 week to go then it's bye bye

You could toss an incandescent light bulb in there to warm it up a little. Functionality over efficiency would be my focus.

Could you get away with running the veg box sealed with a little yeast/sugar co2 maker?

it's about to turn winter, house heat will suffice..thanks for the insights friend..i reversed the fans..working good now

heres a 13 days later comparison in the Witchlight cabinet last pic is 13 days ago down to 6 clients..2 are fem's 4 moe to sex out

I'll lock that tidbit away, should I ever need to add a little heat to my grow. Too much heat is my problem.

yeah ive been doing this in most of my micro cabs for about 2 years now
also in the winter time i switch out the ventilation and pull from top/in the summer pull from bottom
