"From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." -- Karl Marx.

In the U.S. alone, since 1965, we have thrown 6000 Billion (six trillion) dollars into the bottomless pit of "The War on Poverty." Socialists like you, Med, blame the Katrina aftermath on Bush, capitalism or free markets, when the real culprits are nothing more than government inefficiencies meeting the "hand-out" entitlement mentality. This is a mentality that has been promoted by your type of "thinkers" for a hundred years in this country. Where has it gotten us?

I've suspected it for some time now, and really didn't want to call it, but, you are fucking insane. there is really no other way to describe your thought process. When confronted with reason, you pull out the war on poverty and the communist manifesto and combine them into some kind of excuse for all the injustices done by right wing oligarcic plutocrats, the elites of the society that have transformed our country into the rich and the poor, and are hard at work destroying the middle class as we speak. A one world government controlled by the richest 1% of the people. I must therefore assume you are in the 1% and if so, why are you not in some board meeting or jetting around the globe attending to your holdings instead of lurking on a MJ site.

So then ... I take it that we disagree? *lol*

"When confronted with reason..."

At what point in time did you ever offer up any reason?

"Actually it's money being borrowed from China."

Good point. And like all money that's borrowed into existence, wether for wars, welfare or roads or paychecks, the American taxpayer and their children's children will have to repay it.

is this really an ongoing debate that travels from thread to thread promoting capitalism over communism or vice versa? in a capitalist society good and bad things come. it seems there will always be some evil force deep within the government fucking a lot of the ordinary people out of something they rightly deserve. This also is true for a communist or socialist government. People in the government will make calls based on what they see fit regardless of what methods they use to keep the populace in submissive posture.. in capitalism or communism, whether its the guise of thinking your vote matters or the hope for a better future in a cold, cruel world, the only thing human rights have been written in is the blood of others. if people arent ready to die, they arent ready to make change. I'd like to see these threads lead to more than pointless arguments. Find out what you two can agree on, and maybe work on a project together that will lead to a common goal & let the other stuff fall into its natural place.
