are you suggesting that dozens of power companies sunk millions into research and testing soley to help the authorities take away their own business? how exactly does this benefit them? who has smoked who's self retarded?

I wouldn't worry about it at all. I had a computer that runs 24/7 that had a 1000 watt power supply. All in all if you replace your lights with CFLs EXCEPT in places where you would only have the light on a few minutes (bathroom) the amount your using wouldn't be that much more than any normal user. 1000 watts isn't all that much. My old car had a 1000 watt amp in it before it got stolen. I'm not sure how much a big screen TV uses but I bet its probably pretty close to that, and a lot of people have more than one TV. Maybe you have your TV running on a timer so people think you're home when you're not? I'm sure you could think of many reasons why you'd have something on for 12/12 or 18/6. Only way it could be used against you is if you're already caught or the cops already suspect you're growing.

i feel your pain, smart meters are coming into effect around my area as well, altho i particularly wont be getting one... and not for the reasons some would think, as it stands, smart meters RELY on cellphone signals. Move out of the service area = no smart meter, for a looong time.

I'll put down de herb if you put down de meth. The thing is you aren't even paying attention, the govermnent here openly admits it will help crack down grows. And guess what, if you have 6 plants plus in Canada you are legally better off raping a small child, you'll do less time.

PLEASE PEOPLE.... PAY ATTENTION... IT ISN'T THE HYDRO COMPANIES THAT STARTED THE SMART METERS, IT WAS THE GOVERNMENT. OBAMA AND HARPER ADMINISTRATIONS PUT THESE INTO ACTION. At least here in Canada, the government runs the hydro company, it is illegal to have private hydro in BC.
