I don't typically post threads that don't have to do with growing.

But what's with all the trafficking spam and of course Fins numerous threads on the same topic.....

I ain't going to say anything case they enjoy that,I'll just keep reporting them.
Maybe they will get tire of delete.

report the spam, look you may thinks there is a lot but theres thousands that get caught by our spam filter daily.
we work hard, and sometimes things get past us, you can either help out by reporting or just be quiet until we get to it. jeesh

but lately I report one spammer,and you guys deal with it real quick like,but then they are back 3 mins later with a new account

its inevitable spam WILL get onto the site . thats how it works. and it usually hits on low periods on the board meaning between 2am-7am . our spam filter is really amazing, im sorry you report one and another gets on but thats how spam works, they beat our filters, we catch them, the filters change, they beat the filters again, so on and so forth.

for a bit it was apart of my morning coffee routine to log on and report the spam. Its our job as members to report it imho. Mods dont get paid and have lives away from riu they cant look at every section all at once.

Spam "filters" can only do so much...

IP flagged account creation would literally stop 99% of the spammers, but I'm not sure if that type of setup costs a lot or exactly why RIU doesn't utilize it or something similar.

Yes I absolutely appreciate it. I wasn't calling anyone out or saying anyone was dropping the ball. It just seemed a little overwhelming;the amount today.

Yep never ending vicious cycle. I was just curious, didn't want to think we were all the sudden under attack! And trust me I'm reporting away! I try to be a proactive member.
