Was watering my soil ladies and came upon this these little fucks, I used a macro lens to get the best shots i could they are smallllll

Pic 3 very good, its a mite I suspect a young spider mite waiting for his buddies to hatch out, and turn your plant into their city of fun and food

Could be an immature mite. Looks like some of the aphid pics I pulled up too. Either way. Kill those fuckers.

If im not mistaken that looks like the predator mites that seem to love spawning in wormcastings. The spider mite we cannabis growers are afraid of usually are a little more yellow with a black spot

Edit: just examined a bit more of that your bug and it might be an aphid, OR a very young spider, soon to grow into a fly capturing fly sucking machine, but looks like a aphid lol. Neem bomb them Or Use Garlic spray, should clear them right up, andx especially look near base/shaft of the stem for more

Dude these are the little bastards i noticed dwelling in my soil. Do not seem to be harming the plant but with how fugly my gals look right now hard to tell the impact lol. They never moved up to the plant just stayed in the soil so i have not tried to eradicate, couldnt even find what they were. You got a better pic than i did though, mine wasnt worth uploading.

I think pest start in a garden due too poor health Of medium.
Healthy medium=healthy plant immune system to fight off pest and disease.
I say this because my grow issnt the most clean and very open, meaning i know theres bugs everywhere, but not one BAD one eating up my plants (currently, knock on wood)

I agree with flyhi predator mites. I actually bought some recently... They chill in soil and eat organic matter and any pests in the soil. They will usually only crawl up the stalk / foliage if there's any pests on the leaves. They are your friends.. Spider mites never chill in the soil..

really has to do with environment. some geographical locations have more problems than others. I have grown in three states. CA has been the worst for pests so far. Never problems in the cold country. LOL

BTW, if they are staying in the soil... root aphids. and they will make your plant look like shit and die.

I am glad you know they are friendly. Id trust Hyroots assesment. I have bug phobia when it comes to my indoor plants. LOL

Looks like a mite to me. Aphids look more similar in shape to a cockroach while mites share a more similar shape to ticks.

aphids have green color to them. Predator mites are clear / white then turn orange as they age..

you can topdress with compost and castings. That will kill aphids but not predator mites. Predatory mites thrive in compost. Its a moulting ground for them.

I've been battling the worst pest of all. The hardest to kill. White flies. Until recently I never had to deal with them in my life. I tried every possible type of foliar. They don't work because they fly away. So I've been doing the vacuum method and recently released predatory mites and encarsia formosa (parasitic wasps that eat white flies, eggs, and larva from the inside out)

I recently killed off my thrips. cant believe they found 100% perlite hospitable. had to just hold them at bay till harvest was over. Hit all my veggers with seven and no more pests. looks like I need a smaller micron intake filter on the tent like the one on the cabinet.

In the cabinet it I put the AC to max and drop the temp low most best just die. no ac in the tent....LOL

BTW HY I have not taken clones yet. I will try to cut them tonight or tomorrow been so busy.

I agree about diffrent enviroments with diffrent pest and all.

But i would have to disagree with you about enviroment and more about medium health. Once agian my enviroment is not very clean, especially for closed room/hydroponic standards, top that offwith two dogs (which bugs love to capture rides on) . And NO bugs problems(live in CA). In true permaculture bugs are welcomed, you actually hear them fighting and buzzing around. the permacutlrue enviroment will balance everything out, same goes for indoor.
Go to a mono GMO crop chemicalled grown farm and you will not hear one sound from a bug, not one, and thats because of pesticides. Same with a "clean" sealed hydro grow. Just my two pennies

Yup. But even immature aphids are that milky transparent color. But morphology is completely different. I agree with you guys It's a mite.

Good looking out for the top dress and being specific, because diatomecious earth would kill both and sand might not do anything. Since those are two common top dresses.

Is there a chance this could just be gnat larvae? They always look pale to me when they start, and I've seen them a lot! Can't get rid of gnats, I get them every single time.
