Never seen it before but most likely bad.
its bad because its eating the nutes that your plant needs and will turn to mold get rid of clear pots transplant and your fine, I am not sure if taping the pot and allowing it to dry more would kill off the algea and you dont have enough drainage probably allowing the soil to be to moist at all times. It needs to dry out a bit between waterings so the roots get oxygen

Algae, when water and light meet for long periods of time simerlar to a fishtank Algae builds up, that other guy is right generally clear pots are a no no! however in my set up ive just added another light at the bottom to add extra light to under the canopy and the light penetrates through my hydroballs and lets in a small ammount of light, but my plants are still tiptop :) so I guess as long as its not direct light at full intencity the plants should be fine, i dont know what others have found? and if anyone else is using clear pots, ill post a pic of mine, bearing in mind, that my houseroom light was on so the ammount of light getting to the roots,in my stelth cupboard, isnt as bright as it appears in the pic (about 10%), all comments welcome :) - STELTHY PS this pic was taken in early veg. now in early flower and i have a nest of pure white, roots in each pot :) am just glad the light hasnt K.O'd them, my last grow was done the same way and that was bud heavy too. - STELTHY

poke holes in the containers and make sure water seeps out when you water. you will have salt buildup if you dont allow runoff and this probably is causing the algea due to it getting light where it shouldnt, not the salt buildup but the light and moisture

Thanks guys just the info i needed. I have 10 plants going from seed 24/0 of light. half are on day 8 and the other half are on day 4. .. i coverd them all with black tape. All i am using are 4....27watt CFL bulbs.

Never grow any kind of plant in a clear container,Light will get into the bottle and the warmth from the lights is a great place for moulds and other algae to form.If the problem has not started to grow on the root mass then i would transplant quick time before it does.Tip the bottle up side down and pull all the soil away from the edge of the roots. But be careful not to damage the root system. If the roots have been effected then try to cut the ends that are dark in coulour away from the white ones.If you have not got another container to put the plant in then line it with a black bag make sure that the bottom is left uncovered though so that the water can escape when you water.Or cover the bottle withBlack masking tape.

if you grab some reflective tape or duct tape and wrap that fucker up like 3-4 layers until the container is light proof the algae will die. The algae is a plant just like your babies and without light it won't survive, so get that container like a dark room in there!

hahaha ya... time to die u fucking algae, sucking up my superthrive probably u little bastards...... MUHAHAHAHAHAH .... i wrapped them all in black duct tape. GF algae.

just make sure its 100% light proof. Algae can survive on slithers of light so you need to really wrap em at least 4 times with duct tape.

save few bucks and go buy some pots. you will need to transplant if you want them any bigger anyhow. they look like they have a good start but they will need proper equipment.
