I'm near the end of this auto flower grow, it was all going good until about 3/4 days ago when I noticed new stalks growing upwards, directly from the top of my buds, I haven't seen this before, can someone tell me what is going on and how can I fix or at least stop it happening? Thanks 20220428_225912.jpg

I've seen this before, had 3 strains in a vert donut using HPS, ran the same setup/strains a few times, one particular strain did this every run, never knew why I just put it down to genetics because the other plants were fine.

Swear to jah it looks like it's revegging. How many hours light does it get each day?

Any chance of some pics under normal light? Overall pic like your first and maybe one or two of the tops closer up and the taco leaves area.

I grabbed a copy of that pic and blew it up for a closer look. Thought it might be some weird form of foxtailing but foxtails still have new flowers growing out of them and those tops don't.

Another strange thing I've seen pot plants do to add to my list. :)

the leaf curl is what makesme think of heat, or a dry climate. Is humidity low?
Is the light on a timer? There’s some revegging going on I think.
Yeah, the humidity is kinda low, but with all this talk about revegging and timers, that may be it. I have recently put 2 fem seeds in there and have had to change the timer back to 18/6, this plant had about a month left on 12/12 , but I thought ' its an auto anyway,it'll be fine' , i guess i was wrong, ffs! Should I just stop the grow now and count my losses??

That doesn't sound like an Auto to me.

Autos ought to be grown at least at 18/6 and up to 24 hours/day so it may not be an auto at all or just got shocked back to veg with the sudden light increase from what it was used to.

Live and learn eh.

I've had two autos do the same late flower. They can react to stress with reveg, even as an auto, especially if the are early generation autos. They need a few generations of auto genetics to be stable, and a lot of chuckers are making first or second gen crosses and calling them autos these days. They basically end up as fast strains with a high chance of auto flowering, and a high chance of also showing the negative traits of a photoperiod, like re-veg even at 18/6.

Both times it happened to me it was stress related. First was directly after cutting the main dominant cola for harvest and letting the rest catch up.

The second was after moving from 150w to 240w at the same height.
