WTF Humidity kicking my ass

How in the hell are you supposed to battle 87% humidity outside? My dehumidifier is pulling over 2 gallons per day and I'm still at 89%. Plants lower growth in bloom is suffering, dying off. Top is fine. ish. Pulling over 2 gallons in a day out of a 330 cubic feet is retarded. Can't wait for winter. Dehumidifier is adding heat which cause the exhaust fans to work over time. So dehumidifier adds to much heat, exhaust fans bring in 87% humid air, chasing my tail and getting nowhere. Anyone got an idea short of adding an air conditioner. If noise was not an issue I would have already done so. Not sure how I can exhaust the dehumidifier heat without adding even more noise. Rant over... for now!

Co2 or nah? 2 gallons a day . Sounds to me like you need a bigger dehumidifier bud. How many lights? I'll try to suggest one

Shouldn't vent the dehumidifier exhaust .. just wasting electricity if you do. The warm air it creates is the dry air you are trying to achieve with the use of the dehu. Sounds like a job for a bigger unit.

This s may sound ignorant;
But why Grow inside when the weather is this nice?

I only Grow inside I'm the winter for an extra hobby or harvest (can't be it have a plant growing)

I'm sure there's a reason just curious :)

Kentucky here the humidity is like Vietnam
My night time humidity is over 70%

It helped me to install an a.c. unit
As eell as using an air cooled hood
With a scrubber ( odors an issue)
When i vented the lights heat out thru a new exhaust it dropped both my temps and humidity
A.c. pulls in clean cool air
Scrubber pulls in the hot air from top pushes it right out pulling the majority of the hot air the light is creating outside.
This lowered my humidity to the 60's range.
I still hit 71% rh for a few hours of the day ( which is my night) but the fans oscillating SEEMS to help.
O also I crammed like 14 cardboard boxes all broke down all along the bottom of my room.
I figured card oars absorbs a lot of moisture and it DID make a noticeable difference in the rooms humidity

My humidity in hawaii is 70-90% all the time. Couple that with growing indoors AND hydroponics its gets unbearable in my grow room. A/c was the only thing worked.

I got a small 6000 btu window unit, $200 for my 12x12 room. Running 45% humidity and low 70’s air temperature now.

Yeah I figured AC was the only viable option. Humidity was/is high all summer but not a problem until last couple of weeks. Who has a unit that does not sound like a jet engine when running.

Are growing in a room with a closed door or a tent? I had issues with my scrubber and fan and a.c. unit all sounding like an airport in my room.
I use a 6 inch inline fan which is hella loud
Sadly uninsulates ducting .
I used some gorilla tape around the seam of the fan helped immensely, then taped over all of my clamps as eell . where the ducting meets the light, fan, carbon filter, exhaust going out of the room.
Having all those little gaps i didn't thi k about cut the sound by half.
Then on the inside of my actual door I put cardboard on the inside
Just screwed broken down amazon boxes to the wood
As an additional line of sound defense I found an old wool blanket folded it in half lengthwise
I screwed that to the inside of the door frame.
So when i open the door from the outside
I then pull open the thick "drape" then undo the trash bag door i have put up..
(O I forgot to mention i have loose trash bags that rattle in the wind when the fan hots them to add to my questionable sounds )
Then I'm in the room.
After its closed up I then put a small box fan in the room you walk thru and youcant hear a sound. Even without the box fan as cover but I'm growing in a room off of a living room so there's often 4 or 5 people less than 6 feet away from my flower room.
No one knows.... Well except you guys

7' x 16' trailer inside an uninsulated pole shed. 1/2" of ply wood, 2" high density foam r-26, 3/4" plywood all sides top and bottom.
Terra Bloom Silent Series exhaust fans, 6" in Veg., 8" in bloom, with power open and close vents. These are quiet fans... not cheap but silent on low, 20db at full throttle.
Duct mufflers on intake and exhaust. 6" and 8" PVC sch40 for all ducting.
4 Woo Zoo circulation fans, these are also silent...ish on low.
It's my dehumidifier that is the problem. After 3 brands I still have a noise issue. Someone in a previous post suggested to use a Quest dehumidifier as it runs quite on low or high... starting at $1000.00 and going up to $8,000.00 it sure as fuck should be quiet... but having issue's getting over the price point. I'm not in business, just growing a little personal smoke.
I used a piece of rubber roofing cut into strips like a walk in freezer barrier to cover my doorway when open. Not for sound but light.
Shed has nothing in it to create noise.

2 game camera's observing outside the shed.
Dusk to dawn lights with motion detectors that take the lights from low brightness to high.
Dogs that are yappy as fuck when they hear something but generally in bed with us and useless at night for shed security.
I have been ripped 15 years ago before by a family member and of coarse you can't eliminate family members as everyone gets pissy.
So I shut my grow down for 15 years. Just started it back up... and guess who's back.

They're less efficient and more expensive but maybe look into a portable AC unit? Much easier to hide the exhaust and I find much less noisy outside as well. If you can, try and find a unit with a "dry" mode. I bought mine with this feature and it drops my rh a good 10-15% or so and I don't have a direct intake.

Should have some sales this time of year as well depending on your location
