It's when you flush your soil. You just add 2-3 times the amount of water your pot can hold. So it all drains (flushes) out of your pot. Flushes nutrients out, or whatever else.

if you have fed too much and your plants are going brown round the edges.
then you need to flush the old stored food, left in the soil/roots, not good.
also you need to flush, when say a plants takes 8 weeks 12/12.
you would start to flush at week 6 to get rid of the food and carbs, from the plants, so it smokes and cures better.
to you need to flush your plants?.

two types of flushing.
1. to clear the plant of nutrients as it ends its flowering. this means using water w/ no nutes or ferts for the last week to three weeks of flowering.

2.to try to save a overfert plant. running the roots under running water to clear them of nutes or salts.

those are the two i know of ther might be more.

it just means you flush your plant with fresh water and no nutrient.some times things get crazy with nutrients and you dont know why your plants acting up . so you flush, just to get rid of the nutrients. just use plain water on your plants

always use water not straight from the tap.
either collect rain water, or if you get it from the tap, let it stand for a day or so.
cos they are lots of chems. in tap water. but when you let it stand for a while the go.
if you spray plants with tap water straight from the tap, the plants will bleach, and even go crispy.
