I cannot recall a presidential news confrence were the president answered the questions before. It was very refreshing to see him not give the reporter the double talk crap,or ignore it all together.I might have to watch him in action again, most of the time i shut it off after the first load of crap comes out of their mouth.OPH

Some of his answers were exactly that- answers. Some of them were a bit more vague, or included his "if everything goes accordingly" plan. Not once did he talk about a "backup plan" for any of the issue discussed. I always like to hear Plan B before I'm ready to support Plan A.

I really hate to burst your collective bubbles, but the Marijuana question is about the last thing on his mind right now. I beleive the economy is job one, then the wars, then a myriad of other things before he addresses the minor subject of legalizing or decriminalizing Marijuana. I realize that to a pot smoker this might be job one, and I may be hated for even suggesting there are more important things, but if you'd put down that pipe for a few days, maybe that cloud would lift and the real world would come into view. Take it from a guy that smoked daily for nigh on to 30 years, there is life after pot. Smoking pot is a form of escapism, Maybe you need it, maybe not. Only you can tell when or if it is time to put down childish things and be aware of the real world. Now for you supposed "health" smokers, how many of you really need this drug for your health/pain? If you truly need this and it works, then I say great, it is medicine. But I'd bet my bundle that 90% of these med users in states where it is legal, are doing it just for the high. Just as with alcohol, speed, heroin, ar any drug of choice, it is the high you are after. You can say things like, pot is not addictive, and physically adictive, you are right, but mentally addictive, hell yeah it is addictive, other wise why would you smoke it every day, and from what I can garner on this site, most smoke every minute they are awake. I'm not saying you shouldn't be able to, hell, I advocate every drug should be legal. I'm just saying, sometimes it may be good to clear your mind from all drugs and step back and evaluate your life. I may not be in a state of europhoria all the time, but I can see what is really coming at me, and to be honest, pot really doesn't work for me anymore. I'm not knocking pot smoking, just suggesting that it may not be the most important thing on the planet, and as you may be aware, I give all of you equal status in your arguements. I don't consider the being stoned thing as a handicap, although in some cases it well may be. BTW, being stoned does not really make you smarter, Just in some cases on this site, I've witnessed some that must think it does. (180 IQ) ring any bells?

I plan on quitting smoking when I am 70 years old too.

LOL,,,just kidding!
Actually I quit in my 50s and unfortunately, you may never see 70. The way the world is going, unless you are over 60, I give very few odds on many, here and abroad being alive 10 years from now. This may be just my negative take on world conditions, and for my grandaughters sake, I certainly hope I'm wrong. Yeah, I smoked every day for 30+ years, every type of cannabis known to man, sold weed from OZs to kilos, transported tonage in the 60-70s, never ran the border though. I had a 1970 chevy Van,(Brand new at the time) no windows. used to pile it high with pot and run pot from AZ to the beach, Huntington beach, was getting Kilos for 65 bucks at that time, Schwag, but decent schwag, got you plenty stoned. I'd usually get a few Kilos of good shit for my personal stash and for a few close friends to go with the deal, Alclpulco gold, Panama red, Zacatecas, Columbian gold, etc. My contacts in AZ. had a good selection, and if you bought a bunch, like a hundred kilos or more, they'd throw in some good smoke. Yeah, in a way, I kinda miss the old days, but back then the cops were pretty ignorant, and weren't looking for drugs like they do now.

I'll be 60 years old in two days, and I have 6 drug arrests and three felony convictions. I had no other support than selling pot in the 70s and 80s. I've been hired and paid to unload truckloads of pot and once was a partner to the local sherriff in dealing. I've been from Chicago, to Detroit to NY as a courier. I made most of my money dealing to dealers, that was the safest way to go.

I too, think none of us will be around here in 5 years, in 2013. I will never deal again, but I'll stay stoned until then.

You know, when I started smoking pot, lids were 10 bucks, a sandwich baggie stuffed full, usually more than an OZ. I used to get kilos in seal beach for 50 Bucks, put some duct tape over the drain and break them down in the bath tub. Usually there were a lot of stems, but you could still get 25 decent lids out of them and have a couple to smoke. Thats 200 bucks a kilo profit and in the 60s, that was a good weeks pay. I worked a full time job and sold weed, I was raking it in so to speak.

My first lid cost $15 in Georgia. We'd buy for $15 and sell 4 nichols for $5 each and ame $5.00 profit, or a free nichol bag. I paid $100 my first pound and then got lbs for $80. They called it Dirt Weed, or Mexican Dirt Weed. Lots of stems and stalks and seeds and leaves. When we first saw Jamacan that was all buds and no leaves, we thought we was being ripped off until we smoked it. Then we got some good Mexican, Gold Bud, and Michmacan. Cost of Pot went up. Then Columbian came along, WOW! $120 a pound!!!! That was in 69 and 70.

Bought my first kilo 2.2 pounds around 1974, and in 76 we started getting 45 lb bales. I think It was the early 80s before we saw any pot that was not bricked, from Jamaica..

Yeah, we used to get our supply in Yuma then circumvent the bordercheck station and bring it on home, Take the 95 N. then cut across by parker and take the 62 through 29 palms to the 10 and then on to the beach. Smugglers highway. It was way too hot to try and get your stash through so cal from San diego North, they had border patrol all over those back highways. We'd always try and do a daytime run, looks much less suspicious. Our average run was between 100-300 kilos, we'd make about 30 bucks a kilo at wholesale or else we'd break it down into Lb.s and double our money. We we're never really bigtime, and basically only supplied a small percentage of beach residents. I must say, everyone liked our weed and our prices and we made out like bandits. I give most of the credit to our suppliers in Yuma that never ripped us off and always supplied good product.
