Well RIU I have gotten a lot of great advice from you over the while...:blsmoke:, however I never thought Id need your help on this.

I fell in love with this chick six months ago. Im a full time stoner, she once in a while. Well, long story short we split up tonight because it was getting serious and she just couldnt be with a dude who smokes every day. I really enjoy smoking but I love this girl. We have talked it over thoroughly so its definitely the reason. She is a really awesome person, totally beautiful and we totally connect. Not sure what to do. I know this audience is going to tell me if she cant accept me and my smoking I should move on to someone who will.

Any thoughts?

and still, you DON'T have to quit ..

All I know is that if you really love weed, you'll eventually resent her for not allowing you to smoke it. If you resent her for not allowing you to smoke weed, those feelings will eventually poison the relationship anyway. Don't get me wrong, sometimes chicks come around on this sort of thing, but if she's willing to break it off because of weed, then she's probably never going to let it go.

Well, I read ur post and she is not exactly saying you need to give it up is she now. Basically, she just can't be with a person who is stoned every day. That's not totally unreasonable. She does not want her life to revolve around it.

Take a break from it. See if you two are really a long term thing. She does smoke occasionally and if you two do connect deeply, you won't mind the adjustment at all.

Weed won't fuck around behind my back but still claim she loves me. Weed > Some chicks "love"

Sorry dude but FUCK that shit. You come first in your life, if she can't accept and want that, then she can kick fuckin' rocks.

Then again we've been lied to enough, say you quit and get stoned secretly. Then just get it through her head that marijuana is chill and you can be active and motivated as hell (some peeps).

I chose weed over girl. Good decision? I don't know... been single as a dolla for about 2 years now. Not that I can't find one, just haven't found the "right" one...

I know it is cliche folks.... but

it is better to have loved... and lost
Than to never have loved at all.

The weed will wait..... her love will not.

Always choose love.

You know, love is a many a splendid thing, but after being engaged twice and getting my heart ripped out both times, I can honestly say it is not better to have loved and lost. The heart can only break in to so many pieces before there isn't much of a resemblance left behind.

I don't know, I am probably just talking out of my ass here, but I do know this, never again will I be with a woman who says I can not smoke pot.

Yah, but I'm really talking to the OP here. he has a chance, and he thinks it may be golden. Always reach for it. Life is in the trying.... results vary.

The more the heart gets hurt the more it calluses and strengthens. After a while you really stop giving a fuck. DTB and buy a sack.

Well, I can't disagree because I just haven't experienced it. I have always been fortunate in love. I squirmed out of two marriage commitments along the way after having a dozen or so gf's..... but when I met my wife for the first time.... I knew she was the one for me. Just a deep down gut feeling.

But that's a story for another time.....
