i'm not TOO familiar with bulbs, just yet
so, i am also learning this... please help me understand

i just bought a lot of 100W soft white, CFL's & 1 splitter
the bulbs (each) produce 1600 LUMENS but, says the energy used, are 23W
i have a lamp, that says, the MAX WATTS are 100W...
i added the splitter to that & i'm going to be using both bulbs at once, obviously
would that be dangerous? or what?

i need help on this, because i have been using WATTS below 60
so, basically, i am a big time noob on the WATT usages & what not...

i just need to know, if it would be hazardous or whatever...
if you would like to see pics, just let me know, thanks

you will be using 46 watts, half of your 100. Those CFL's SUPPOSEDLY put out as much light as a 100 watt incandescent using only 23 actual watts. Your cool

yes, when your dealing w/ CFL's you mainly just need to pay attention to actual watts, not the "equivilant watts", if your bulbs are 23 ACTUAL watts then you could put 4 of them in a lamp that can handle 100 watts. The "equivilant watts" are basically just a marketing deal, they have no relevance to your electrical load or anything to do w/ growing plants, just ignore them.

Wow, your room looks sweet! what size is your room? I would consider moving up to an HPS on your next grow if you can. Everything looks nice & clean & neat. I love it.

thanks for the information guys, i just wanted to be safe, lol

i couldn't find mylar, but, the wrapping paper works, pretty good
i do want to get the HPS, but, i'll do that for my next grow :D

& yeah, i like it clean, i try to keep it bug free
i just wipe the floors down with clorox wipes

i'm not sure on the size, but, i could germ & veg 8 plants
& for flowering, it could only hold/possibly fit 2 plants

it's a decent sized growbox, i made myself
i have another one, but, i haven't used it yet

hopefully, with these new lights, she will be much happier, lol

yeah it looks awsome... keep in mind that the soft whites are used for there spectrum in flowering and the Daylights are spectrumed for veg... Nice wrapping though i never thought of using it... probly as cheap as my dollar store aluminum foil. I use the same bulbs.. but i think im gonna hit lowes up for a 105 watt fullspectrum.. or two.. Gl subscribed and will keep checking in for updates

you should buy a bathroom light with 3 -4 slots in it, and use a computer plug to wire it like i did, 3 splitters and 6 23w bulbs. very easy

you could run 10-15 of those lights on one outlet alone...those might pull half an amp or maybe 1 amp if your lucky lol

Where can you find 105 watt fullspectrum CFLs?

Dont worry about it, you probably transplanted when your soil was too wet. Sometimes when I transplant I will cut away up to 3/4 of the extended root mass, just keeping a good solid core of strong roots.

Your plants will be fine, make sure you start using nutes second water after transplanting or your plant will produce single leafs while sending all the nutes and energy to massive new root growth.
