Would this work?

So, I was thinking..

I've done a bit of lst on my current grow and I had this idea of making a table with holes in it, only small holes to put gardening wire through. Then I would have a plant at each end of the table and pin it down as it grew. I feel this might have more control as to where the branches are growing. I also want to have less plants but grow them bigger.

For no reason, this is a picture of my current grow.

yes this would work really well, but don't think you would gain anything over a scrog as you would need to veg for longer

There is a technique called mainlining, there's threads on that, it could work for you here

Thanks for the replies.
I've decided I'm going to try it just out of curiosity. I've ordered a couple of cuttings which I should get in the next couple of days. I'll probably start with a 250 hps for veg then move to a 600, then 2 600's for flower.
I'll probably make a grow journal to keep track of everything.

Instead of tables you may want to use ridged wire square fenceing panels cut to size. If its laying on a table it may develop powdery mildew or mold quite easily. The fenceing will let it breath better and you probably want some type of fan under the canopy as well.

thats a good point, why not keep the ideal the same but instead of a table use a screen, as you can tie the shoots down to the screen, lift the pots up so the tops level with the screen and put somthing under the pots so you can catch and remove any run off, this could turn into a really good grow journal if you put some real thought into it

if you can section off the pots so no water can be spilt onto the canopy once it start growing into the screen, no reason why you can't add t5 under the screen facing up or a 600w hps in a sealled air cooled hood, but you will need a frame and chicken wire to stop any leaves dropping on the hood, we could design a new safe way to pull a larger yeild from a screen :)

I'm thinking I could make the table frame then just use wire mesh on top and tie down to that. I'm not sure I would get maximum use of the light if it was under the canopy. I think growing this way I can pretty much have the branches come up in the place I choose, allowing me to space them for good light penetration.

could be right but the leaves will face the strongest/closes light, just think how much bud you can get in a 2ft thick canopy with light both sides :)
