Would this work for CFL?

Could I buy and use a Hydrofarm Jumpstart Grow Light System to get my plants from seed to seedling?

Also what about the Hydrofarm Germination Station to put under the light?

You could do man it's your choice. I can think of a much more cost effective way that works just as well though.

You can do way better for that price. This is what I made for my flowering girls for less than $60. Can use it from start to finish if you want to but I would suggest to change the bulbs. 6500k for veg and as close to 2900k for flower as you can get.

I don't plan to use it for veg. It is only meant for getting the seeds to being seedlings ready to be vegged under a 400w MH light.

If that's all u want it for just get a couple cfls. You can get what you want for about $10. No need to spend $70.

How many seedlings do you expect to start each time, how long and in what size pots man?

I imagine you'll be using smallish pots to start in and then pot up once they're nice established seedlings. I'd say just for that you'd only need around 30w-50w worth of cfl for 5-10 seedlings. A 20w+ cfl from near enough any shop will do and they're very cheap.

I would like to off my remaining amazon gift card balance by purchasing equipment that I might need and even stuff that would be useful. I would like my entire setup to look and even feel professional. I know you could make your own CFL grow light system for much less.

I plan to have 6 seedlings at a time. Possibly more if my friend wants me to grow his seedlings for him (he has a single tent and is limited on space). I think I would have them under the CFL for around 2 weeks. Not sure which size pots, still have to hit up my local home deport or lowes for those and the little things I would prefer to buy there rather than online.
