Any light bulb will "work" technically, but we cant tell you if this 300 watt incandescent bulb which should probably *not* be used for marijuana but "would work", unless we know what you want to put the bulb over. What type of a grow room or cupboard did you have in mind?

it is an e39 base, meaning it would not fit a standard socket.

it is an incandescent, meaning it will throw off a shit ton of heat and not the right spectrum of light.

reconsider.

my closet like 3x3 and like 10 ft tall lol its just mini one and like i wanna do 4 moms i got them under that right now just put under 2 days ago they look find havnt grown at all.... should i just throw a 1000watt in there? i got 1000watt hps

A 3x3 enclosed space will heat up like the sun -- unless you ventilate air out. Just hook up a fan that blows out of the closet to an attic or a dead space in a wall. It'll make it work. If 1000w is too hot, try a 600w instead. (Or 2 400w).

For a 3x3 space, I'd do an ebb & flow with rockwool. Fast, easy, under $500 to get everything up and running minus the light. Post any questions as they come up and we'll be here to offer the best advice we can........... Good luck man........


Also, with a 3x3 space, dont even keep a mother. Its a waste of space and you cant flower and mother in the same space (They require different hours of light, 18/6 for mommies/veg and 12/12 for flower). Just pay the $7 each for feminized seeds and I'd keep about 9 plants in there at a time. That's at most 10-12 seeds every 2 months.

as said before, incandescent light bulbs are the least efficient to use for growing. The throw out tons of heat, and very little usable light. You'd be a lot better off with CFL's and could use a shit ton @ 300 watts, just keep them close to the plant, and adjust lights daily for best use and effect.
