Would like some opinions/help.

I've posted here before but I was on some stupid stuff :p trying to grow with reg light bulbs :p

Well now I believe i have all the proper equipment to successfully grow. I just want some opinions and ideas on how I can hide this shit.. hahaaha I may have went way to big for my first grow. I built a 4x4 growbox. Have 23w CFL's with 2 bulb adaptors and a reflecter shade for it, 6500k. My first question is, is 6500k too much to put the seedlings under, and would 2 lights per plant be enough? They're Daylight bulbs. I've heard and read in several different places that its 23w's for veg 28w for flowering. Second question is would i need to get a heater with a house that the average temp stays at or around 72? How many intakes/outtakes. With the intake/outtake i was assuming 2 on the bottom for in and 2 on the top for out should be enough with 4 - 8in fans. I dont know how many plants I can grow but i'm gonna start with 4 to see how well they do. Ive painted the walls of the box white. I would just like/appreciate any input or other ideas on what I could do.

If your going to use cfl, at least spend the $20 bucks and get some 100 Watt cfls from Lowes or Home Depot. Also mix up the spectrum in those dual socekts you have. So they are getting as close to real light as possible. Here is a link of when i FIRST started a few months ago using nothing but flouros and cfl. They veggeed better under all those than under my 600w hps and 600 w mh veg room, considering going back to cfl's for veg.

the only pics i still have of when i was using cfl, and flouros.

These 23's say they put out 100w. I'm just worried if the light will be to strong and burn them, and if you could tell me what you mean by spectrum :-[ please do. Cause the only thing that really confuses me about growing are the lights.

.. they say they compare to the brightness of a regular 100watt bulb.. they put out 23 watts.... your kelvin rating on the bulbs only refers to the light spectrum.. not it's intensity.
You're fine with those bulbs on seedlings..I've used HPS on seedlings.

edit..
sorry.. you asked what spectrum is...

light of different colors are said to be from a different part in the spectrum..

72 degrees is warm enough. under the lights it could get even hotter, get a thermometer. It could be 60 in your house, and 90 in your grow box. Go with a few "daylight" bulbs, and a few regulars, with an emphasis on daylight for vegging, and regular for flower. In my experience, i think 23 watters dont have the right intensity. Make your CFLs at least 40w, but preferably over 100w. (real watts, not "equivalent" watts.) At least 60w per plant.

My goal is to grow only 3 to 4 and just bush them, the problem with that is i can really only make them 2ft in width and 3 1/2 feet tall to be safe. I've already purchased the 'Daylight' bulbs and I figure im only going to be using them for 2 to 3 weeks. Still need to figure out a time scale also but then again i'm still waiting on germies :[ 3 days no root sprouts. I plan on covering the 4x4 area with 5 lamps. 2 bulbs per lamp im unsure if thats enough.

I use both cool white and warm white bulbs. The cool bulbs are I believe 5600k.. and the warm ones are 7500k... that's in reference to the part of the spectrum the bulbs are.. and those parts of the spectrum are easily usable by plants. I use one of each in each fixture to give a nice mixture of light to them. It's not the color of the bulb that dictates flowering or veg it's the length of time that you have the lights on that causes a plant to flower.. usually 18 hours of lights on, and 6 off for veg.. but others (like me) who veg under 24 hours lights on.. when you want to flower you turn your lights on to a 12 on 12 off schedule. hope that is of some help.. sorry, it's late and I may not be explaining it very well at the moment... let me know and I will try to help if I can.
