I have a bunch of autos going, which are all going to stay in the 5 gallons they are in. But I have around 6 non autos and these girls have really become bushes. They are much larger than the 5 gallon pots that they are in and I have noticed 2 of the bigger plants roots have started pushing up at the top. Would it be a good idea to switch to 10 gallon pots this late in the season? Some of the plants are 3 feet tall by 4 feet wide. others are 4.5 feet tall by 2 feet wide. I feel like they would like a bigger container and I also feel like I could increase my yield significantly if I did this.
Does anyone have any advice whether I should switch there pot sizes. I am in the San fernando valley, in California and it is very hot. We are still getting 14 hours 10 minutes of sunlight, and it is going down about 1 minute a day +4 seconds each day. So I am guessing my plants wont start flowering till late august, maybe even early september... Since I have so long till flowering I feel like it is a wise decision. Does anyone here think this would not make a difference? Could they already be root bound?
forgot to add: when plants start to flower they grow like 1/3 to half as tall as they where originally (varies by strain) so I feel like they will not bud as much because they wont want to because of the small amount of room.
