Would it be possible to grow without any fans?

I really want to grow but i cant have any fans that make any noise with my current situation. Would it be possible to grow in a cupboard or something and just leave it open for most of the day? Or what if drilled a bunch of holes in the back of it? Im not looking to grow the best, i just want to have that experience of growing my own crop with 1-2 plants. Thanks.

are you installing lights in the cupboard? I guess you wouldn't have to have a fan as long as it didn't get too hot. you could leave the door to the cupboard open like you said, that way you would have fresh air coming in and the heat from the lights would be able to get out. good luck.

I grow without fans and they are fine. It's a closet grow with an exhaust. A cupboard grow would get hot, real hot . So at least an exhaust would be good.
