to either just get an ionic breezer for 70 bucks or spend 140 for a 4" Carbon Filter that comes with ducting and a 170CFM Inline fan for a room of 112 cubic square feet?

I take it your goal is "odor control"...

How many plants do you have? How bad is the smell? Before you go and spend a lot of money... read this thread https://www.rollitup.org/grow-room-design-setup/63004-my-3-carbon-filter.html maybe something like this will work for you and save you a bunch of cash :D

Happy growing :D

I doubt a little DIY carbon filter will cover the smell of 6 plants in full flower. Get the carbon filter with the inline fan.

Did you read the thread? Many people other then the poster made these and claim they work.

I made a couple.... but so far haven't had to use them because my stand alone a/c vented outside seems to keep the odor in check. If I do start to smell the plants I'm going to try using a few of these filters before I go out and spend a bunch of money on a carbon filter.

Anyway.... I think it's totally worth it to try a cheaper homemade device before spending a lot of money.

it never hurts to try very true
i will try it cause my space is only 112 cubic square feet for 6 plants and ima be running my venting through 2 4" fans as my exhaust and intake

Yeah I read the thread. I just don't see how they can work well. You can't compare a DIY filter with a professionally made carbon filter.
