worried

Im not really sure how far along my plants should be at this point. there are about a week and a half into veg. To me it seems like they have stopped growing as fast as they use to. can someone take a look at the pics let me know if they plants are good the one on the left is alot lighter green then the other one. is that bad?

what kind of soil are you using??..it looks like ground dirt

I think they look fine. Just be patient and relax they will grow. what kind of lights and everything do u use that would help trouble shoot.

The soil some nutrient enriched soil but i got some new better potting soil im going to transfer them into soon. I using two 23w cfl daylight bulb, one for each and about to add a third one soon.

yeah they'll grow....they usually slow down around 2 weeks and then BAM! out of no where they just start shooting up....i think during the slow down period they work more on making roots

so the light green leaves are nothing to worry about?

well usually the light green leaves will indicate over watering or lack of nutes...but at that age the nute thing shouldn't be a problem...

i think your doing better than at least half the people who just up and decide to grow. they look pretty good. got any plans for when they get bigger? your soil looks like it really needs to go for that new stuff you got. id recommend foxfarm or fafard. anyway good luck with it guy.

have you thought about more lights as they get bigger? 3 23w soft cfls wont be nearly enough after a couple of weeks

Im not using soft cfls but daylight ones the 6500k. I also have 2 6500k t12 fluorescent tube light which pump out about 3060lumens each. I will use the tube light and cfls once they get bigger. Also thanks for all the help and confindence about my plants. How many plants could i grow with two tube lights and three cfls with a good about of reflection from the walls?

veg 4, about 1 per foot, flowering youll have to change (sounds like u knowthat though)

imo, looks like water stress, over watering. also, the pot on the left needs half again as much soil, very much not enough. if you use a loose, airy type of soil, you'll get best results. that soil you have is heavy, compact soil...very poor drainage, high water retention...this is the whole of your problem...and lighting will be soon, if you don't upgrade it. you'll have tall plants with 6 inches between internodes...

if you look at my 25 plants, look at the soil, you'll see what I mean...
